This photograph captures the timeless essence of Coca-Cola — bold, refreshing, and iconic. With rich tones, crisp bubbles, and that signature red, the image evokes both nostalgia and modern cool. More than just a drink, it’s a moment — chilled, carbonated, and unforgettable.

Today is probably the most known brand from all that I have presented... Staedtler.

I decided to present "unusual" brands... Today is Perla Harghitei = Hargita Gyöngye, a well known (at least here :D ) local mineral water.

Ray-Ban aviators with dual-toned reflective lenses—green on the left, orange on the right—capture a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes, hinting at a window or light source beyond. The iconic logo rests subtly on the right lens, anchoring the image in timeless style. A study in symmetry, contrast, and the art of seeing.

for 7DoS: another from the laundry. I probably should have kept this for Tuesday. If I don't find anything else, I'll count it as a two-for-one ; )
I might have lost focus for today's theme at 7 Days of Shooting. It's Focus Friday, and the only thing I could thing of was crayons...but I've already done that shot, and I didn't want to be too repetitive.
So, I tried doing a shot with reflections instead, and after conquering the challenge of getting them to stand without toppling every few seconds (double sided tape!), I still found something wanting. Since the light was waning, and the camera was selecting slower shutter speeds, I thought, why not do a barrel-twist long exposure?
And here it is. I've layered the still image underneath so I could have the Crayola showing on the crayon in the front.
Comments will have the photo I probably should have gone with...
7 Days of Shooting, Week #17: Iconic Brands -- Focus Friday
Today's entry was a bit easier than I thought it would be, thanks to the fact that a few years ago we purchased an older Scrabble set in the Used Bookstore of the library. We bought it to fill in the missing pieces from our original set, and proceeded to consolidate the best of both. About the only time we actually use the game is when I want it for a photo idea!

for 7DoS: I wanted to get this shot earlier in the week, but didn't get an opportunity in the daylight

It's been a while since I challenged myself to shoot on a theme, and so I chose to go back to a group that is an old favorite. Shooting for specific criteria that are set by someone else is mind-bending, and yet enjoyable.
The week's theme is Iconic Brands, and Sunday's goal was geometry.

This is part of the design on a fabric shopping bag. Radley handbags are popular here (despite the price!), each with a tiny dog somewhere in the design or as a tag on an attached keyring.
Geometry, closeup, texture, a bit worn, black and white ( yes, with a subtle colorsplash), and of course a shallow DoF...Here's an Oreo with everything from the week in Iconic Brands :))

for 7DoS: these are very old trainers - I checked on Wiki and Reebok lost the Union Jack flag in 86! I remember deciding to keep them, when the tread had almost disappeared, to wear when decorating and doing other messy jobs ... and I still have them. This might tell you how few messy jobs I do, or we could pretend that they are extremely durable ; )
No chance that my wife will change her perfume! For as long as I have known her and that's more than a few years, she has always worn Chanel.

7 Days of Shooting – Week #17 (w/b 30 October) Iconic Brands - We probably all own something that bears a famous brand or indeed eaten or had coffee in a well known branded coffee shop or restaurant. So, let’s see how many we can gather this week ….. I guess, Coca Cola, Starbucks, Apple, Microsoft, Nike and the like will be on display but don’t forget those famous brands in your food cupboards!

for 7DoS: Busy with my laundry today, trying to think of ideas for this week's theme, I realised that I have more around me than I thought.

A&W Root Beer was a national favorite in the mid-twentieth century. It became widely popular after World War II, with its “Frosty Mug” logo becoming an iconic symbol of the brand. By the 1970s, A&W had over 2,000 locations across the United States and internationally. These drive-ins were known for their carhop service and were especially popular in the 1950s and 1960s, making A&W a staple of American roadside culture. The root beer float, made with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a frosty mug of A&W Root Beer, became a popular menu item during that time. It was a favorite treat for many families who embraced both its sweet taste and its $0.25 price tag.
A&W Root Beer drive-ins still exist, though they are less common than they once were. Some locations have become drive-thru or sit-down restaurants, and they continue to serve their famous root beer.

I don’t own a Leica, but I couldn’t resist capturing this shot.
The vibrant red glow against the cool night tones made for a striking contrast.
I suppose Lego is an iconic brand... so here is my wee lego polis up close and personal. I think I got this as a freebie at ToysRUs... another iconic brand no less!!!
We did a small buddy project at the camera club where we were all given a buddy and asked to do portrait of each other. A good way to get to know other club members a wee bit better. Nice project. So I got Mike. I asked Mike what his interests other than photography. Anything we could maybe focus on and use. And he says "I repair watches and do electrical stuff and oh I look after the big Wurlitzer down at the Pollokshaws Burgh Halls", eh? excuse me? So I was lucky enough to get this iconic beauty. It was funny cause I took all the photos with some sheet music on it and I just happened to decide to move it off the stand and BOOM that big beautiful logo appeared. Believe it or not I only got one shot like this. A thing of beauty and a joy to behold... oh yes and it sounded wonderful too. I hope it's geometric enough for the 7DOS
for 7DoS: The shot I planned for today didn't work out, so into the archives for this one. The models may have changed over the years but the emblem is still the same.
I thought I'd this to the 7DOS Texture Tuesday... they don't come any more iconic than Leica for a photography group... well... maybe they do but I love the texture of my wee leather Leica camera case... taken many years ago now but it still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling :D
