The G15 built in MediaApplet is compatible with iTunes and Winamp, but since switching to iTunes recently, the applet keeps crashing. So I am trying out a new one, and it's great. Lots of neat futures including search right on the keyboard using the "Scroll wheel."
The info seen here isn't static, especially the bottom line which rotates through a bunch of info like playcount, bitrate, sampling rate and rating.

okay so i was on iTunes looking at the NJATA stuff, & i saw the movie thing and i clicked on it....guess what? Its NOT RATED...i wonder why......

The best new feature in iTunes 5 is the enhanced search bar. Now, when I want to find John Wesley Harding's song "Phil Ochs, Bob Dylan, Steve Goodman, David Blue & Me," I can do a Song search for "bob dylan" without bringing up the 600+ songs by Bob Dylan in my iTunes library.
Similarly, I can do an Album search for "john wesley harding" to find Dylan's "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" without also finding John Wesley Harding's "Phil Ochs, Bob Dylan, Steve Goodman, David Blue & Me."
Very helpful indeed.
Now, I just wish I could search for "bob dylan" by Composer only, excluding the Artist column. Until then, I'll just have to stick with my always-expanding "Dylan Covers" playlist.
