Very occasionally a vehicle design will come along which in my opinion looks better from the rear than the front ! The Colomborider must fall within this catergory... The idea was a British Optare designed body on a rugged chassis initially for Sri Lanka but with plans for the Phillipines & Vietnam. The prototypes were built in the UK and then production was transferred to a new factory near Seeduwa in Sri Lanka. Optare joined with Ceymo automobile & Itochu to provide a one stop shop support to the vehicles. However the terrain & operating conditions in Sri Lanka which I consider to be one of the top three of most punishing in the world did the vehicles no favours, some have lasted into 2018 but they are now a dying breed or are being reconstructed or rebodied. This is 63-4906 ( KS11 ) from Kandy South depot on a Ashok Leyland chassis in the traffic battle during May 2018. The rear is clearly original with its distinctive Optare style of the period. Quite a coincidence that Ashok Leyland now control 98% of Optare all these years later after the vehicle above was built by the two separate companies !

Another special livery ticked off the list, and this once again coming from Icelandair who have in 2017 celebrated 80 years since it began operations as Flugfélag Akureyrar with flights commencing a year later in 1938.
To celebrate 80 years since Icelandair commenced operations, the airline repainted yet another Boeing 757 into special colours... This time, rather than the Hekla Aurora that was introduced back in late 2014; Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull gets the special treatment.
The livery was officially introduced in May 2017 to celebrate Icelandair's 80th anniversary, TF-FIR which was originally named after the Askja volcano was renamed after the glacier in which is adorned on the special livery.
Indeed, Icelandair can be regarded as having some of the most striking and if not the most beautiful special liveries in the world, although can be difficult to find as there are just 2 out of 28 Boeing 757's in service to feature the colour schemes.
Currently, Icelandair operates 28 Boeing 757's, which includes 25 Boeing 757-200's (one on lease to TACV Cabo Verde), 2 Boeing 757-200PF's and one Boeing 757-300.
Foxtrot India Romeo is one of 27 Boeing 757-200's in service with Icelandair, delivered new to Spanish flag-carrier, Iberia in July 1994 as EC-608 and later EC-FYJ until July 2002 when Icelandair acquired airframe initially on lease from Itochu (now fully owned by Icelandair) and leased to Aeromar Airlines and Avianca in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Initially named after the Askja volcano, she was renamed and repainted into Vatnajökull colours in May 2017. She is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engines.

JMC (Jiangling) was founded in 1952 in Nanchang, Jiangxi as a truck repair shop. Since 1993 Jiangling has a joint venture with Isuzu and Itochu for the production of the Isuzu Faster/Rodeo/TF pick-up and since 1997 Jiangling and Ford started a joint venture for commercial vehicles (Transit). JMC's Baodian pick-up and Baowei SUV are still based on the old Isuzu TF-platform, but since 2010 it has expanded its own-brand line-up with the Yusheng SUVs, which currently consists of the S330 and S350. The Ford Transit Mk2 was heavily revamped for 2017 and renamed JMC Teshun. In some markets the Boadian is known as Boarding.

Looks like British Airways Airbus A320 fleet is getting a little bit exciting as BA have finally started fitting the first of 10 Airbus A320's (the youngest treated) with the aesthetically pleasing and fuel-saving Sharklets with Yankee Victor the first such example to have been kitted out.
As already mentioned, British Airways have made the decision to retrofit their 10 youngest A320's with Sharklets with Yankee Victor taking as little as 4 days for the retrofit to have been completed. As each A320 gains Sharklets, another is admitted into Heathrow Maintenance for the retrofit to take place. The modifications take between 2-4 days to complete. After the 10 A320's have been treated, by 2018/2019 another 20 Airbus A320's will gain Sharklets, around the time BA should receive a handful of A320neo's. The 20 Airbus A320's that will receive the Sharklets will need to undergo structural modifications in order for the Sharklets to be fitted since the wing design is slightly different to newer A320's.
For now, there are 3 Airbus A320's with British Airways that have received Sharklets, Yankee Victor of course being the first. The fitting of Sharklets to the 10 A320's should be completed by May 2015.
Yankee Victor is one of 62 Airbus A320's currently in service with British Airways, that number should be 67 once all of the Gatwick based A320's enter service. She was delivered new to BA in May 2014, leased from Itochu and is powered by 2 IAE V2527-A5 engines.

JMCGL (Jiangling Group Light Motors) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangling Group and produces a series of pick-ups based on the Isuzu D-MAX. The T7 can be distinguished from its Qiling-platform-mates by its Volkswagen Amarok-face and wheel arches.
