The wood in the shape of Italy is located near the plain of Castelluccio di Norcia (Umbria region, Italy)
The conifer seedlings were planted in 1961 on the occasion of the first centenary of the Kingdom of Italy by the will of Mariano Rumor, at that time holder of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
