Piotr and Alek, straight from celebrating parent/child day over lunch (so
they didn't have much dinner!). Piotr, a PR guy for a variety of
interesting clients, is also starting up a medical information site that
will publish information not usually covered the Polish press; the hope is
that the candor and quality of information will attract readers and
ultimately advertisers, but right now it's a labor of love (and domiciled
out of Poland for freedom from pressure). Piotr - please put the URL in

Description: ***
St.Tugen, or better Anse du Cabestan, is a little sheltered beach south of Baie des Trespasses, just off the D784. It's one of the most beautiful beaches of the Bretagne and has on its days a few of the best sandbars the Bretagne can offer you.
I just surfed St.Tugen up to 1.5m, but I've seen pictures and heard of friends that it can get huge with mighty powerful standup barrels up to 3m. (somebody even said you could compare it to La Graviere in Hossegor...)
Hygiene: *
It doesn't get any cleaner than that, just check the water color!!
Water: ?
Same as most of Brittanny, if it wouldn't be salty, I'd drink it!
Security: **
Lifesaving service equipped, but I'm not sure about lifeguards, I didn't see any, even in summer.
Surf: ***
I guess the place is a little tricky to get it goin, you need a clean and huge south swell to get it working, it's sheltered from nearly all the other sides. Crowds? If two counts as a crowd? But I can image it can get full when it's on.
Camping: ***
Nothing at all around there, maybe a hotel in St.Tugen. Otherwise, it's a really rural place, I guess nobody minds if you stay on the parkin lot for a day or so, just keep it low and clean!

Title: Security Blanket
Medium: Mixed Media
University: Birmingham Institute of Art and Design
We have created a patchwork blanket. Each square of the blanket has a different concept to do with war. We wanted to make something that was disturbing to view; therefore titling it “Security Blanket” makes it obvious it is intended to comfort a child, when in reality the themes within the blanket are far from reassuring.
