Heaven or Hell ?

I am going to leave it to the viewer of this pic to decide, is it heaven or hell for you ? Could you live in such an isolated cottage ? Just a few sheep for company, no neighbours, no mobile networks, no shops in walking distance. You could be snowed in for months through the winter, you decide!!

The Llanberis Pass lies between the mountain massifs of Snowdon and the Glyderau in the county of Gwynedd, in northwestern Wales. The summit of the pass is 359 m (1,178 ft) above sea level, and is the site of the Pen-y-Pass Hotel, now a Youth Hostel. The A4086 road traverses the pass. The Nant Peris valley lies to the northwest descending to the town of Llanberis, the Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn lakes and continues on as the Afon Rhythallt to Caernarfon and the Menai Strait. The valley is narrow, straight and steep-sided, with rocky crags and boulders on either side of the road.

About one mile to the east of Pen-y-Pass is the Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel. To the east of this are the headwaters of the Dyffryn Mymbyr, a tributary of the River Llugwy which it joins at Capel Curig. To the south of Pen-y-gwryd are the headwaters of the Afon Glaslyn which flows southwestwards towards Beddgelert.

An ancient medieval village, the historic center of Teggiano (SA) is located on an isolated hill overlooking the Vallo di Diano, in Campania.

The construction of the Norman Castle dates back to the decision of the Sanseverino family to elect Teggiano as their stronghold.

The village houses Churches of great interest: San Michele Arcangelo, the Annunziata, originally Romanesque with baroque overlays, Sant'Agostino and San Pietro, both pre-Renaissance, and the imposing Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore.

The historic center develops through streets and squares overlooked by noble palaces that span at least 6 centuries of history: from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

Teggiano, with Vallo di Diano, has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.

An annual event is the "At the table of Princess Costanza" event, during which the village and its inhabitants recall the medieval era.

This splendid historical re-enactment is among the richest and most accurate in Italy.

Built in 1994, it takes place in the Macchiaroli Castle, which historically belonged to the powerful Sanseverino family.

In the three days of the event, the small municipality of Salerno goes back in time, to the days of the conspiracy of the barons who attempted to overthrow the Aragonese who had settled on the throne of the Kingdom of Naples.

The event attracts thousands of visitors every year eager to relive the ancient glories of the medieval era, including local cuisine, music, processions and historical reconstructions of real events, such as the marriage between Costanza da Montefeltro, daughter of the Duke of Urbino Federico, and Antonello Sanseverino, prince of Salerno and lord of Diano; or the siege of Teggiano in 1497 by the Aragonese, which saw around 150 figures perfectly re-enacting the battle with armour, weapons and shows.

Happisburgh (pronounced "Haysbro") lighthouse.

Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working light in East Anglia, and the only independently run lighthouse in Great Britain.

Built in 1790, orginally one of a pair – the tower is 85ft tall and the lantern is 134ft above sea level. The ‘low light’ which was discontinued in 1883 was 20ft lower and the pair formed leading lights marking safe passage around the southern end of the treacherous Haisborough Sands.

Today the lighthouse is painted white with three red bands, and has a light charcteristic of Fl (3) W 30s (3 white flashes, repeated every 30secs) with a range of 18 miles.

Saved as a working light by the local community, it is maintained and operated entirely by voluntary contributions.

This week my theme is Isolated Objects so to start an Acorn Cup in the leaf litter at Wakehurst Place National Trust, Ardingly, East Sussex, UK.

This group of 4 images is from a recent trip to downtown Tacoma, WA as a chaperone for the local high school photography class on a field trip. My main interests as a photographer are Landscape and Wildlife but it was quite enjoyable to visit an urban environment and see life from a different perspective.

This isolated cove between two popular coastal areas emerged out of the fog for a moment long enough to capture it through the lens.

That mist was thick this morning. It was hard to see at times. An unexpected rift appeared and changed the dramatic atmosphere.

Coues Deer are a subspecies of Whitetail Deer found in desert regions, especially hills and mountains between 4,000-8,000 feet elevation, usually with scrub oak and high grassy basins.

This subspecies is isolated from other whitetails, but occasionally comes into contact with other whitetails in Arizona and Mexico. Coues whitetails are found in central and southern Arizona and the southwestern corner of New Mexico, and most all of Sonora, Mexico.

The most obvious difference between Coues whitetails and their other whitetail cousins is the size. Coues deer bucks (males) are only about 30 inches tall at the shoulder, and only the biggest bodied specimens will attain weights of over 100 pounds.

I photographed this Coues Buck near Portal, Arizona.

#stayathome

that is symbolic of our world situation with the corona virus.

These souls are more than five, as are currently allowed here in Germany. This is a good thing and many stick to it and stay at home to stop the spread as soon as possible and that an official ban on going out does not have to be imposed! It is so important that everyone pull themselves together and follow the instructions, because only in this way can the world situation heal. My thoughts are with the people in Italy and Spain who are particularly affected!

Stay healthy everyone!

For Silder Sunday I edited the photo with Photoscape. According to the situation, this makes everything seem a wee unreal and abstract as the situation is. The streets of the small town where I live are ghostly empty. Even if it is annoying sometimes, now it is good to be connected through social media, hope it does not break down :)

Thanks for taking the time and watching, much appreciated!
