A few years ago, instead of aiming for the famous cherry blossoms, I took a picture of the cherry blossoms that caught my attention while driving.
There were splendid cherry trees planted in the gardens and cemeteries of the houses, and I think this tree was also planted in the cemetery.
But I can't find the location of this nameless cherry tree.

I ventured down to Lake Bled this morning in the hope of a lovely sunrise and ten minutes after sunrise, the sun uplighted the clouds above and transformed them into a bundle of colour that was vibrant and stunning all at the same time.
I love the formation that the clouds made and the patterns looked spectacular. The reflections were beautiful too as there was no wind to speak of. Overall, just a lovely way to start a weekend. I hope you all enjoy yours too.

Thanks for your visit. Comments, faves and invitations are very appreciated.
Wast Water in the Lake District is the deepest lake in England. Its maximum depth is 258ft (79m). At that depth, the bottom is more than 50ft below sea level. The valley that Wast Water is located in is an excellent example of a glacially 'over-deepened' valley.
The steep scree slopes that lead up to the summits of Whin Rigg and Illgill Head are known as the "Wast Water Screes". These screes formed as a result of ice and weathering erosion of volcanic rocks. They are approximately 2,000ft, from top to base, the base being about 200ft below the surface of the lake. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wast_Water
Such a beautiful sunny day is unusual in the Lake District.

Stairway To Heaven, Haukland Beach, Lofoten, Norway
I cannot believe that this image was taken two and a half years ago and even more so that I have not edited it until today.
Haukland Beach is one of the loveliest beaches on the Lofoten peninsula and it happens to reside next door to the otherworldly beach of Uttakliev making this section of coastline some of the best to spend some time at with your camera. Incidentally, the two beaches are separated by a short tunnel.
Haukland Beach is a popular place to visit at the end of the day as the sun sets directly in front of you which allows you a perfect opportunity to capture stunning sunsets. However, this image was taken at 1.15pm (sunset was 5pm) but the wonderful moving cloud allowed for some diffusion of the sun to my left which in turn, had the wooden ladder glow a beautiful orange colour.
Oh, how I miss those days. Lofoten is truly an amazing place to visit and I cannot wait to return in November (only TWO PLACES LEFT for those interested).

White Ibis in Flight
White Ibises gather in groups in shallow wetlands and estuaries in the southeastern United States. At each step, their bright red legs move through the water and their curved red bill probes the muddy surface below. As adults, these striking wading birds are all white save for their black wingtips.
White Ibises tend to move around in large groups depending on water depth. Unlike larger herons who stalk their prey, White Ibises spend more time walking through wetlands. In some areas they forage in urban parks and lawns, especially in southern Florida.
Male White Ibises are very protective. They guard the nest and their female to prevent other ibises from stealing sticks from the nest and from advances of other males during nest building and egg laying. It's not until night when the risks are lower that the female is left alone.
When baby White Ibises hatch their bills are straight. Their bills don't start to curve downward until they are 14 days old.
The oldest recorded White Ibis was at least 16 years, 4 months old when it was found in Florida in 1972. It had been banded in Alabama in 1956.

The beach of Traigh Iar (Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides) at sunset.
I passed the beach of Traigh Iar in June this year with the intention taking some pictures of the Mc Leods Stone just nearby (about 300 meters from this point).
But the sunset was just so stunning, so I took one picture by the other forgetting the Mc Leods Stone so finally I reached it after sunset.
