Its that time of year when I'm fed up with Winter and the lack of photo opportunities, so here's a spring flower from last year to keep us going.

Isn't that what many fisher persons would say, mean while it was WAY smaller.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.
~ Vivian Greene
These leaves were lying in a big puddle along a street curb in the pouring rain. They look like they're dancing to me :)

Isn’t water great! It can come as a liquid in a river, as gas in clouds, as solid in snow, and as delicious in beer !
This is a pic taken somewhere between Jasper & Blue River in Canada. I think. If anyone recognises the place and can enlighten me that would be great.
I remember having to sneak away from my group of fellow travellers with another truant , and clambering over several boulders and blocked trails to reach this isolated and empty little river bank. Was worth getting put in the naughty book for 😉
Edit - mystery solved, it’s near Athabaska Falls
Isn´t it adorable, this little flower, very unusual. Growing wild in the forest, among long pinus trees and lingonberry.
Yesterday once a day with "Bad bad Panda" :(
I used a weak texture my own to this one.

Isn't the colors are lovely!? Aren't we so blessed!!? What a wonderful gift mother nature gave to us!
Svolvaer and its islets crammed with rorbuer (fishermen huts) now exclusively used for tourism. But even knowing that I still love the setting of this place :)
Typical, isn't it? Glorious location on a Saturday with a cloudless sunset...at a bus terminal on the Sunday and the sky lights up...at least the trees made the scene a bit better than just the concrete beyond...

Maybe isn't about sinking or swimming...
But, rather to just float peacefully for a while.

I always like to look at the bottom of the ponds and canals. Here I found interesting bugs and leaves floating... so serene! (Best in Large)

And the whitish “thing” in the foreground isn’t water or snow, either!
This looks like a cataclysmic view, but is in fact “just” the now abandoned grounds of an old copper mine in Southern Portugal (Minas de São Domingos, Alentejo, Portugal).
The mine was deactivated about 60 years ago. The buildings are in ruins and many of them have already partially collapsed, creating a dantesque setting, with the remains of the facilities surrounded by coloured red and brownish earth, which are the result of the copper ore and the processes used for its extraction.
The white material seen in the foreground is kind of a white pasty sand, also originated by the mine’s activity and which still prevails in the landscape, even after six decades of the mine’s inactivity. A stark reminder that man’s actions on nature aren’t easily reversed…

"What about me, it isn't fair
I've had enough now I want my share
Can't you see I wanna live
But you just take more than you give"

===Isn't it lovely, all alone?
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
Tear me to pieces, skin to bone
Hello, welcome home
Walking out of time
Looking for a better place
Something's on my mind
Always in my head space
But I know someday I'll make it out of here
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
Wanna feel alive, outside I can't fight my fear
Isn't it lovely, all alone?
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
Tear me to pieces, skin to bone
Hello, welcome home
Woah, yeah
Yeah, ah
Woah, woah
Hello, welcome home===

From the archives. She was resting at some distance from her mother who was going the adults. As a precaution they keep the cubs away for a certain time. This little girl however followed her mother. I wonder how she will be doing at the moment.....

In winter, Vaska eats much more and more often than in summer, although he is less likely to be outside. And he visibly plumped up.
Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
This isn't a great picture, but I thought it was kind of cute. I took it at the park where the "Tree Folds" were planting trees.
The tents in the back ground are from a huge family reunion. They meet at the park every year. Several of them jumped in an helped with the tree planting and even adopted a tree..;) Funny and cool at the same time..:)

Yesterday I did find my very first Black Swallowtail egg... strange she only left one, but it's a start!!
Let's face it now, it isn't everyday we see a genuine example of anti gravity anywhere let alone in agarden is it now? Yet here we have it along with the evidence, and not just any garden - it's in our garden! I know, it's incredible, but its not for sale so don't even go there.
The only other example I can think of is those UFO things that keep turning up on people's phones, but as folks don't believe in those, that makes this little baby unique does it not.
I'll tell you something else, it's totally silent, doesn't make a sound and you can pass your hands all around and underneath it like one of those stage magicians - it doesn't seem to mind. Nor, does it limit itself to any one flowerbed, oh no it moves with it's whims not just the sun, hot border in the morning, vegetable patch in the afternoon - it even followed me into the house one day!
A couple of days after taking this very photo, my wife and I had to pop to the garden centre (we were looking for something inter dimensional) and this little baby kept pace with us for an entire kilometre. It was only as we turned out of our road and my wife put the pedal to the metal that we thought we had lost it - I say 'thought' because when we pulled into the car park at the garden centre about 10 miles away there it was! I don't think anyone else saw it for it was hovering about 50 feet in the air directly over the compost bags, as it did so it slowly rotated and as the sun caught its petals it appeared to change colour - just like one of those bona fide UFOs that don't exist, and when we got home an hour later, there it was, sunning itself next to the garlic. I know, I know, it's incredible, but it isn't for sale so don't even go there....
Isn't this cutie adorable? A young harbor seal watching us very curious.

This isn't my neighborhood--nor my house--but the tree looked so pretty, I had to stop and take a few pics. Hope you enjoy!
