Our intial plan was just to watch the sunset on the hill of Milad tower (pictured) and then find a place to stay in Teheran, but we decided not to. We had energy and the road leaving the city would be filled with cars, so there would be no major risk of driving in the dark. We decided to keep going.

We went in the morning to check out the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, known as the Imam Square. It is a beautiful 400 year old UNESCO World Heritage site, that is one of the biggest squares in the world.
