No shortage of Hummingbird visitors this morning when I put the feeders back out after last night's storm.
Investigating in front of the house.
In this first walk, Lola was close to Chico all time, minding so that Rubio doesn't bother him.
Posted for the Happy Caturday theme "Feline Investigations".
Happy Caturday to everybody !!
hanging around and investigating everything it finds near the family den in Mara North Conservancy in Kenya. In this case it has probably found a piece of skin or another leftover of a prey of the clan.

White on white
I had a couple of good ones but I always love the wee people for some reason.
White on white and then on white...right?

It's a mystery to me, the game commences
For the usual fee, plus expenses
Confidential information, it's a diary
This is my investigation, it's not a public inquiry
I go checking out the reports, digging up the dirt
You get to meet all sorts in this line of work
Treachery and treason, there's always an excuse for it
And when I find the reason I still can't get used to it
And what have you got at the end of the day?
What have you got to take away?
A bottle of whiskey and a new set of lies
Blinds on the window and a pain behind the eyes
Scarred for life, no compensation

Ahhh it's been super warm and sunny here in Finland recently! There's a lot of school stuff that should be done by next week but I just can't resist photographing my dollies ^^'
How have you been doing? ♥
Now that spring is firmly established on our land, there are many things for a dog to investigate. Here, Kenzie is on the prowl for lizards and birds, whatever happens to be rustling through the foliage. She never gets anything, but she never stops trying. She actually did grab hold of a honey bee the other day. Ouch!!!

Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis)
Having spent a couple of hours cleaning up after yesterday's wind and hail storm I took the macro lens into the back garden looking for insects. While there I heard a familiar call, looked up into one of our Plum trees and spotted three Silvereyes. I raced inside and by the time I got outside again, two were still there. They flew off over our house so I headed out to the front garden to find eight of them in the Cape Leeuwin Wattle searching for insects, and finding some.

The branches are baaad bad bad in this! I don't understand, they put so much work into textures on everything else, but the ends of tree branches are a pixellized mess if you get close.
A quick stroll to investigate my brother's new neighbourhood in Kent. Down the road, after the tarmac runs out, there seems to be a lot of palatial houses with high fences and large dogs on the other side.
Investigator - Last morning, interestingly - two hummingbirds investigated mom on the nest. She chirped and stayed still when this adult male investigated briefly, but another more persistent juvenile male/adult female hung around and pestered her for several minutes resulting in her attacking it and running it away.
Shortly afterwards, House Sparrows nesting nearby came too close and she aggressively defended her nest against them. I am hopeful she continues to do so and they do not present any additional problems to her.
I tried to shoot at f/22 to get the male in focus too but alas he was too far from the focal plane even at this high depth of field. Nevertheless was awesome to capture both in the same frame!
