Right at the beginning of the event, people were really excited to see all those bands coming to perform.

It was a beautiful colorful and still sunrise at Market Lake but what is with the 43 degree F. temperatures?
A note about technique: In the past I would have bracketed this shot and used HDR to handle the wide dynamic range. With the 14.4 stops of dynamic range captured in a RAW D800 image I find I can obtain similar results by lowering the highlights slider and raising the shadows slider in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw.

O SL é uma forma gostosa de representar o que somo e como vemos o mundo e tudo o que acontece. Amo fazer minhas intros, machinimas. Elas imprimem melhor tudo o que quer dizer. :D ♥

This place is great for lots of reflective glass but all the transparency made me highly visible to security and I only grabbed a couple of quick shots before I made a nervous retreat.

At the beginning of our New Zealand trip as we left Christchurch , we drove away from bad weather and headed towards our first destination, Mt Cook Village, where the skies were looking clear. To start of with we couldn't see much in front of us but the further we drove away from Christchurch the clouds started to part here and there, slowly revealing the amazing mountain landscape. By the time we had hit Lake Pukaki the sky was 100% clear and we could see Mt Cook and surrounding ranges perfectly. Both Trent and I agreed it was fantastic the way our introduction started, witnessing just snippets of detail and then ending with 360 degree panoramic views by the end of our drive.

Teaching a Patreon visiting London from California. He had his Leica M11, I was using my Leica SL. Basia modelling for us. Nasty weather but we still managed a few nice photos.
Here I was teaching how to use natural light for flattering portraits as we walked around London trying to shelter from the wind and rain. (My full model photography eBook should be out in the next few months. Get the free intro eBook on the blog if interested).
