I had a job interview today with a credit union. Lets hope my fabulous hair will woo them to hire me! Fingers crossed.
CTCPA held its first-ever Interview Day on September 26, drawing 13 CPA firms who interviewed almost 50 students from 10 colleges around the state. The event grew from a strategic planning brainstorming session of the CTCPA Advisory Council last year.

Before I took on my current position in the Sales Motorsport department, I worked in the finance department (controlling). My main tasks are: Being the contact for customer requests and forwarding internal technical requirements, creating quotes, checking the financial numbers regarding the profit center Motorsport, consideration of the profitability as well as participation and support in the budget planning within the RENTAL division and the associated departments. What I especially appreciate about my work is the friendly and courteous way of dealing with colleagues as well as the high degree of flexibility. Especially worth mentioning are the legendary parties. I have not met any company that can celebrate like RIEDEL! :-)"

I interviewed this woman with Loretta Chao for a Wall Street Journal report on the development of protest movements in China. She came to Beijing to petition the government of the seizure of her business (petition at the local level had landed her in a labor camp) and has since taken to helping organize mass protests in the city.
