Interstellar and I… dolls watching the crazy world outside from within our comfy dark living room ✨

This image is a visual interpretation of movement at the speed of light.

The radial projection effect evokes movement through space at relativistic speeds, where photons appear to converge towards a central point, illustrating the concept of trajectory and propagation of light. Light travels at approximately 300,000 km per second in a vacuum.

This is the maximum possible speed in the Universe. Everything we observe in the sky stars, nebulae, galaxies always reaches us with a time delay.

In astrophotography, capturing light is also capturing a story:

the story of radiation that has traveled, sometimes for years, even thousands of years, before reaching our sensors.

After missing out on last night's awesome light show due to the cloud cover, I took a drive up the Suie tonight and spent a magic couple of hours under a crystal clear Milky Way, entertained by transient heavenly light - eerie orbs of green, gently morphing across the sky, often so faintly as to be mistaken for a figment of the imagination, but then occasionally gathering in strength and size; ethereal pillars appearing one by one, like portals to another dimension. A fair share of meteors, satellites and a jet all added to the show.

This is looking towards Tap O' Noth, at the left of the frame, with the lights of Clatt and Kennethmont visible in the middle of the shot.

I could have stayed out all night, if I'd left the house with a few more layers on..

In camera editing. - - - love that bouncing light

But I should have used the "500 rule"

The 500 rule for a full frame camera requires you to set your camera to ISO 3200 or 6400, Aperture to f/2.8 (or as wide as possible) and your shutter speed to 500 divided by the focal length of your camera. For example, if you are shooting with a 50mm lens, your shutter speed would be 10 seconds (500 / 50 = 10).Jan 28, 2020. That would have avoided those elongated stars..

So this is my Ranger Lego MOC. It was very fun to make! Especially the minifigs! I'm not entirely satisfied with Tars and Case tho, so I'll probably remake them. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Hope you enjoy my last MOC of 2015, and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

Captured at FlashPoint Photography Studio.

The 2014 film Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, tells the story of humanity's desperate attempt to survive in a future where Earth is slowly becoming uninhabitable. A devastating crop blight and environmental collapse are rendering the planet incapable of sustaining life.

The Ranger is a reconnaissance vehicle used during the Endurance mission in the spectacular film Interstellar. They are used for transporting the astronauts to Dr Miller's water planet and to Dr Mann's ice planet. Both Rangers in the movie are later destroyed, one in a failed docking attempt by the traitorous Dr Mann, and the other is sucked into the black hole Gargantua.

Hey guys! I'm happy to present my latest model, a near minifig-scale build of the Ranger spacecraft from the 2014 film Interstellar. This is one of my favorite builds I've done since joining Flickr, even though getting the shape and paneling correct was very difficult at times. The vehicle itself is very cool and feels surprisingly real, it's definitely one of the best things about the movie.

If you can, please check out these other angles and shots on my Flickr page!

Magic sunrise in my hometown Valencia.

I do not usually make architectural photography, but a friend recommended me to try this beautiful place that is the City of Science.

This frame seemed very curious and can only be performed during sunrise, when it reflects and reveals this aspect of starship.

Picture one raw only, using four step ND filter and Black Card.

I hope you like it. Have a nice Weekend. :)

Still marching strong and lowering those flags after 958 years. The very best parade performance this side of the galaxy.

It's been a while since I've posted a Milky Way shot on Flickr, so here is one from our recent trip to the PNW. This place is called Secret Beach in the Samuel H Boardman area. It's no secret though, and it has been heavily photographed in recent time. It's a really cool beach with tons of sea stacks. We shot into blue hour, and captured a pretty decent sunrise too.

Thanks for looking!

The Cone Nebula Upper left of the image) is a complex region of hydrogen gas and interstellar dust approximately 2.700 light years from Earth that interact to form a very tortured and twisted landscape. The Cone itself is formed by the interplay of ionized gas and a dust cloud.

The brightest star in the image, 15 Monoceros (within the blue reflection nebula), is part of the Christmas Tree Cluster. A grouping of about a dozen bright stars to the left of 15 Monocerotis form the triangular shape of the Christmas tree, with the top of the tree being the bright star just right of the Cone itself.

Below and to the right of 15 Monoceros is a region known to amateur astronomers as the Fox Fur Nebula.

This complete area is very dense in the Hydrogen Alpha wavelength, which is why the area has such a reddish hue.

Interstellar reflection. There is a beautiful coastal location just 40 minutes drive from my home. It‘s one of the few nearby places with relatively low level of light pollution, so that‘s where I headed last Saturday for some Milky Way photography. Luckily the wind wiped out the clouds after the sunset, and our beautiful home galaxy was exposed in the most amazing manner.
