One of the eeriest things I've ever seen is a water park with no one in it, with searchlights on to illuminate the crashing of raindrops. My college friends from freshman year and I went to a water park for the weekend, and the city it was in had a storm coming; needless to say, we weren't the least bit worried about getting wet. We walked from the house we were renting to the park and back under the intermittent rain, and tucked into grilled pork chops and some booze for dinner.
