The well photographed Eileen Donan Castle. I tried to find something a little different comp wise, so the daisy flowers in bloom gave a little foreground interest
Beavertail State Park, Jamestown, Rhode Island
Lone herring gull with three black scoters, identifiable by the orange-yellow "knob" at the base of the bill, which look like faint orange-yellow bokeh balls at this aperture. The scoters were my real interest, but they maintained their distance while mocking me the whole time.
DSC04946.
Declared a National Monument of Historic and Artistic Interest in1924, the Castle is the result of a long series of enlargements, refurbishments and additions ranging from the first one carried out near the square ground plan in the early 12th century, up to the last areas built in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. As soon as Ponferrada became dependent on the Order of the Temple in 1178, by gift of the Kings of León, the Templar knights found a small fortress that originally acted as a Celtic settlement. The knights reinforced and rebuilt the walled enclosure in order to protect and guard the Way of St. Jame’s pilgrims ad defend the entrance to the Northwest area of the peninsula. The rehabilitates palace suites host now the permanent exhibition “Templum Libri” on books and facsimiles, graphic cart and authors collections. This is one of the world’s best collections of its kind.
Was riding around in the burbs trying to find anything of interest. Up this street, down this one, or across that one. Came across this - thought it was kind cool. Shot in B&W 😃
Just a simple candid street style Snapograph captured at London UK of a guy in silhouette walking out of a covered walkway and "Into The Light".

The sunset disappears over land to the far right during summer months but earlier in the year you can still catch if with a fair walk out into the sea at low tide. The boats save the day as far as foreground interest is concerned. Thanks for looking :-)
The third shot I took of the low winter sun rising!
As November turns into December the early mornings can be masked in mist, bright and clear like this, or most often grey and dull. So I tend to grab the chance of the bright photogenic mornings to shoot as much as I can ... to take me through the dull wet mornings 😊
My apologies - but this one seemed perfect for the Saturday Smile challenge of "sunrise". The previous 2 are in the first comment field

* To continue our globetrotting we now arrive in the Lofoten Islands in Norway.
The drive through the Lofoten Islands from Solvar to Reine was full of interest. Lots of beautiful places to stop off at though time as ever was limited. I thought the little settlement of Hamnoy looked particularly attractive I could have done with more time to explore it properly. This is a view of the harbour of the village .
I must say that while Highland Scotland was stunning I still think the Lofoten Islands in Arctic Norway are the most beautiful place I have visited in Europe . Scotland does have one or two advantages though, its a lot closer and much cheaper to have a holiday in
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO
WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT
This was the last shot I got this morning while taking advantage of working from home. I met another photographer and it was really nice talking to a person sharing the same interest at this time (while keeping a safe distance of course...)

ENG: After several years we had to visit the Berlin Cathedral again. I couldn't even remember that the ascent took so long. But the ascent was worth it again and I felt a bit like a tourist in my own city.
Last night's sunset was a beautiful one -- these two ducks were pretty cooperative about adding a bit of interest to the scene. View On Black
Another superb sunset at the back of the house. I could see it was going to be a good sunset, but the M6 Motorway is shut meaning the traffic on the A6 adjacent to my house was stationary, so the prospect of going anywhere wasn't an option.
I had seen this dead tree limb in the field under the tree on the left of this shot and for want of some foreground interest, I dragged it out to this location. I used my 14-24 lens to get a better sunstar than the 16-35 manages. The colours were incredible with the air being much clearer after some rain.
The Enchanted City is a Spanish natural area of calcareous or limestone rock formations formed over thousands of years. It is located near Valdecabras, in the municipality of Cuenca (Spain), in a wide area of pine forests in the southern part of the Cuenca mountains and at an altitude of 1,500 meters.
It was declared a Natural Site of National Interest on June 11, 1929. The action of water, wind and ice has made this karstic phenomenon possible. The heterogeneity of the rocks in terms of their morphology, chemical composition and degree of hardness is what has allowed their uneven wear by atmospheric elements, resulting in a surprising sample of picturesque art from nature itself. To the whimsical and spectacular existing formations we must add lapiaces, torques and sinkholes.
It shares these characteristics especially with "Los Callejones", a place located in the municipality of Las Majadas. Both places are part of the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park, created by the Law of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha 5/2007.
The cygnets, nearly-swans, were a source of interest on North Pond, Bishops Waltham. But last time I was there on the long wooden footbridge which crosses the pond, they were nowhere to be seen. A look around the other end of the pond accessible by the main road, also revealed only their absence.
And then a friend told me that they are taken to a sanctuary for safe-keeping during the winter. So, hopefully, spring will show them all, resplendent in their fully-grown white plumage and hopefully we will be allowed there to take their photo.
The familiar sight of the Post Office Tower standing like a pencil near the top right - well that's what I know it as, but its now called the BT Tower (and has been the GPO Tower & Telecom Tower) - anyway:
View across reservoirs in Walthamstow & Tottenham and given a faded monochrome treatment.
Of interest are the number of cranes in the background, as London evolves....
Bla Bheinn with a green finger of foreground interest. It was taken on the same day that I took the Cuillin picture with the house in front of it. A cracking day, light wise. This shot is only posible to get when the tide is high or you get the seaweed covered shoreline.
Just a simple tourist type Snapograph taken at London UK of the scene from Westminster Bridge looking towards Lambeth Bridge.

It’s been a while since I made one of these. Actually, it’s been a while since I took any photos at all, so why not look at all of the twelve shots I took of this small pedestal-thing at once?
Taken in the walled garden at West Dean, Sussex.

ENG: You cann see the reconstructed evangelic St. Nikolai church from 1837 in Potsdam at the Old Market Square. The listed sacral building was designed by the architects Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Ludwig Persius and Friedrich August Stüler. A special feature is the tambour dome of the 77 metre high building, which rises far above the roofs of the city and was erected between 1843 and 1850.
Towards the end of the Second World War, the sacred building was struck during the air raid on Potsdam and subsequently severely damaged by Soviet artillery fire. After many years of reconstruction, the church of the Evangelical Church of St. Nicholas in Potsdam was consecrated again in 1981 and has been open to visitors daily ever since. In addition to church services, concerts are also held in the Nikolaikirche.
when I was sitting pond side and saw this floater. Couldn't figure out what it was from a far. I had hoped it would float in closer but no. Did the best I could with what I had. 1 feather wrapped itself around a leave, then it began to drift into the other. 2 of My favorite floaters to photograph. How Lucky is that.
Trying to sell our house and of course the market has taken a turn for the worst. A few months back you would sell so quick it would make your head spin now, I'm get grey waiting. Interest rates are at there highest in over 20yrs. After Ray's strokes we can no longer stay here, Too much house to take care of. Trying to find nice condo. Did find 1 but we had to back out of as house hadn't sold and last thing we needed was to pay for 2 places. Things will work out. Faith I do have.
Thank You ALL for your continuous support, love and e-mails. You guys honestly help me hold things together. Mush LOVE to all.
