It was raining and I intended to take photos of drops in the usual meadow nearby when I spotted this beauty. I was afraid it would fly away but it let me shoot as long as I wanted. It’s the first time I have had this kind of opportunity for years.

My intention was to shoot intimate landscape on a certain spot. When that turned out to be a poor idea, I turned 180 degrees and shot landscape instead.

Thank you for always having lots of Fav ♥
Many thanks to you !! ♥

Due to personal misalignments I wasn't and will still not be able to be here much in the next weeks/months.I have no intention to completely give up on Flickr but I expect my presence here to be very intermittent so I will totally understand if you will choose to be less active on my account. Still hope you will keep me in your contacts as I will eventually be back in a more sustainable manner.
For now all I can do is say thank you so much for your friendship and support that mean a lot to me and wish you a wonderful Summer!

After not going to Sanabria for a long time, I took advantage of this weekend to do a photographic route, looking especially for the waterfalls of the rivers and streams that flow down with a lot of flow. This photo is the first of a series that I will be posting.
This little waterfall corresponds to a stream called "arroyo del Baillo", which runs down through the town of San Ciprián de Sanabria, and flows into the Trefacio River. My intention was not to stay here, but to arrive by hiking to the Vados waterfall, but it was not possible, the upper part of the waterfall is the path of the route, but there was so much water that I couldn't even take a look. short walk, here I was hopeless. At least I was able to take this unusual photo, because under normal conditions the water flows gently between the stones.

When I saw this mural I was shocked and intrigued at the same time. Thanks to gavweaver.com we now know what it is and means.
Wiki says.......
""""Since 1856, the name Baphomet has been associated with the "Sabbatic Goat" image drawn by Éliphas Lévi, which contains binary elements representing the "symbolization of the equilibrium of opposites", e.g. half-human and half-animal, male and female, good and evil, on and off, etc.).
On one hand, Lévi's intention was to symbolize his concept of balance that was essential to his magnetistic notion of the Astral Light; on the other hand, the Baphomet represents a tradition that should result in a perfect social order.""""

I have no intention of offending, There is a saying, God can change to one thousand kinds of appearance, Become a variety of religions, Trying to make people of all colors more willing to get close, Show the miracles convincing. More respect and tolerance may reduce many disputes.
This Buddhist faction, is passed from Tibet to Taiwan, This and Buddhism in Taiwan is different. Some factions of Tibetan Buddhism, The most controversial is the men and women double repair, This is illegal in some countries, Destruction of family system and morality. I heard that men and women double repair, Is an effective method, The point is, it is not the only way. I believe that most religions are beneficial.
The truly spectacular Quiraing is an icon of Scotland. Many people visit only the first short section of path. My intention was to walk around it, but heavy rain prevented me from doing so. A real shame, as the site is so spectacular.

Tuesday evening, I ran out to Kansas City with the intention of sticking around long enough to get some night shots, and imagine my surprise when Stephen Priest, and his crew from www.classonemodelworks.com/ were there with the same plan! They got the headlights temporarily wired up, along with magnetic puck lights that were serving as step, frame, and number board lights.
Fresh out of its rebuild at Mid-America Car in Kansas City, the unit was dropped off at KCUS on June 13th, with public display beginning on Flag Day, June 14th. It will be on display throughout the ATSF Historical & Technical Society's annual convention, which is being held in nearby Overland Park, KS.
Big thanks to Stephen Priest for spearheading this project, to BNSF for the donation of the locomotive, to MAC for all of the body work on it, and all of the other sponsors. The unit looks incredible!
I had the intention to buy a 1.4 35 mm lens for this type of lens has such a beautiful short DOF at F1.4 and the 35 is a little wider as a 50mm which I own.
After searching on the internet I realised that I also own a Sony Wide conversion Lens VCL-HGD0758. Together with the Canon FD standard lens maybe this could do the trick on my Sony A7R.
Well as you can see this set isn't high quality when focus is set on infinity but it has a remarkable vintage distortion and I think that nice for this kind of photography.
Later on I will show you a macro shot of this experimental set and I hope you like it too :-)
Have a beautiful day and stay healthy !

Intention was to keep the orange bold but nondescript so the color of the stamens drew the attention.
My main intention was to take the Sri Wawasan bridge at sunset but when I turned around to look at the mosque, I said WOW! The blue hour effect was superb! I purposely composed this shot with the pontoon jetty to show depth.

The intention was to spend the night on Llanddwyn and return the following morning.
Pre sunset it wasn't looking great with high grey cloud but I decided to stick it out as the weather app said there would be a gap.
Everyone else had left and I slowly set up whilst watching in awe at one of the best sunsets I've seen this year, silently congratulating myself for staying.
I'd had my tin of chilli and boil in the bag rice and way too much coffee and carried on shooting until the break in the cloud had gone and the forecast low cloud moved in. The wind had started to pick up also and as dusk turned to dark and the temp plummeted I decided my 2 season sleeping bag wouldn't be enough to keep me warm through the night. I also didn't fancy packing up in the wind and rain that was forecast so reluctantly packed up in what little light was left.
I made the walk back to the bus shelter and suddenly realised why all the others had left before sunset. The tide was too far in and it was still another hour before high tide. Two and half hours later and it was safe to make the walk back along Newborough beach with the wind picking up all the time and thick black clouds being illuminated by the full moon.
10/10 for boy scout prep, 0/10 for not reading the tides!
My intention was to process this wreck in b&w but so much of its character was lost (along with her funnel, not sure what happened to that) Trevor Cotton summed it up perfectly with a comment he added to his lovely shot of this old ferry. www.flickr.com/photos/exectra/6832855056/
The intention of the Catalan and Spanish Government to expand Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat airport is generating considerable controversy and is found on all media fronts and in all circles of opinion nowadays. The point is that the expansion would put at risk the reedbeds and the wetlands of La Ricarda, which are part of the natural area of Llobregat river delta, an ecosystem inhabited by diverse animal species.
While my intention that night was to shoot Q116, which I did and was thrilled with the results, I decided to wait a little longer for Q148 and its classic Canadian cab Dash-9 leader. Like the barns, many of these are stored or not able to lead in the US thanks to them being passed on having PTC installed.
These are what appears to be two siblings huddling together. Such gorgeous looking little characters. Little Owls were introduced to New Zealand from Germany between 1906 and 1910, with the intention that they would help control the numbers of small introduced birds, which were becoming a pest in grain and fruit crops. With the exception of one pair released in Rotorua, all were liberated in the South Island. Little owls bob up and down if startled and have an undulating flight pattern.

This is the only shot of this foggy series that contains any wildlife. They were the only ducks I saw on that morning, although I did hear some kind of birds on the water at another pond, but fog was too thick to see them. It was almost kind of eerie hearing but not seeing them.
The ducks here were actually a huge bonus as my intention was to photograph the large tree in the fog. It is a tree that I have shot many times before and no doubt will photograph again.
Taken early morning at Elk Island National Park.
The smokestacks of Sudbury receded in the distance as I drove south on Highway 69. I had every intention of being home by suppertime. That was until I remembered that it was Saturday, which if you're familiar with the ONR, means train time on the Temagami Subdivision. I had already logged a couple thousand kilometers on a fruitful, albeit very circuitous, tour of Northern Ontario the six days prior. I wasn't feeling particularly inclined for a detour back to North Bay, but that voice in the back of my mind -- yeah, the same bugger that compels one to stand out in the freezing cold or climb a mountain for a single photo, you know the one -- got the best of me. So, at the last exit leaving Sudbury, it was off 69, onto Highway 17, and off to North Bay.
Just as I was arriving in North Bay, the sound of a northbound train departing town could be heard in the distance. Talk about timing! Meandering through North Bay's infamous traffic and watching the sun peek in and out of the clouds, I eventually caught a glimpse of the train as it eased over the Trans-Canada Highway ahead. A quick chase to Lees Road ensued, where I set up just in time as veteran SD40-2 1734 came charging around the bend with Englehart-bound train 113.
While I didn't make it home for suppertime as planned, the memorable chase to Cobalt that followed made that detour at Sudbury all worthwhile.
Or is it? If a picture is worth a thousand words what comes to mind when one sees this composite photo made from a sequence of shots of a Red-tailed Hawk that I took? The first shot of the sequence is on the left and the last is on the right. A systemic approach in finding prey inside a nest box? The real answer is quite surprising - but I'll leave it to viewer's imagination. After the hawk left I gently tapped the lid back into position.
Intention of placing a ceramic dog on the pier is a mystery. The dog looks like waiting for his master's boat to arrive.
Our intention was to walk to the Brandenberg gate. When we reached this road, it was actually closed off as a fans area was built around the Brandenberg gate for the Euros. So I had the whole road to myself. bam! Having said that, Some light trails from passing by traffic may have been a nice addition.

The intention with this was to make a daisy chain using daisies from the field behind my home. It's many a good year since I made one during which time , my fingers have become too fumbly, so I ended up with this and the one in comments, which I've done before for a 365 shot.
Last week I was again with my family in the Swiss Alps. And my intention was to find some wonderful spring spots. But apparently the weather god had other ideas as you can see in my image here. I must confess that I never had such an extreme experience of falling temperatures and snow storms in April. In less than a couple of hours the area was completely converted into a winterwonderland … and damn … it was really icy cold!!! And my thoughts belong to all the farmers I know from this area here. One week later after I made this shot here I heard that they lost all grapevine due to the extreme temperatures below zero degrees. Everything was destroyed!!! But at this point in time when I made this shot here I tried to go up a mountain … I couldn’t care less about harsh weather but I must confess … it was not so funny to walk in a snow storm and therefore my hike was really short. If you could zoom in you would see how much it was snowing in the distance and how strong the wind was. My location had only a small break and I could see a cloudburst. I had not much time to set up my equipment with my new filter system and to make this shot here.
Yes, I have a new filter system. I never used to have one because I was never happy with the results. Normally for the most of my images I use my 14-24mm Nikkor lens. And to find a fitting filter system is not very easy. Several years ago I bought the one from Leefilters that suits the need of a 14-24mm Nikkor lens. But I was so disappointed about the results. Vignetting, color cast and the nightmare to put the system on this particular lens. I’m talking about to put a part of the filter system behind the lens … I mean you must detach the lens from the body, attach this part behind the lens, attach the lens again with the body and finally attach the rest of the filter system on the front of the lens. And all this in a possible snow storm ha ha ha … what a nightmare and what an adventure. I never never used it again!!
Well, since a long time I was reading so many good things about my new system from Lucroit! So simple and so effective in any ways! I’m so happy and so impressed about this filter system!!!! This is indeed my first image I used this new filter system. Attached in only a few seconds without removing the lens from the body. No vignetting and no color cast! Wow … really wow! Here I only used a circular polarizer to capture the extreme light conditions and I hope you enjoy my new work.
Thank you for your time and interest in my photos, your visit is most appreciated.

I've always like this image as it suits the name of the place, Grange Hollow. It's been sitting idle on my hard drive since 2015 and I never came up with an appealing edit. On this occasion I tried a cross processing version that looked a bit more interesting. I had every intention of posting it for Slider Sunday but didn't quite make it.

I went out with the intention of shooting a Heather sunset shot, but came home with this instead. This is a good hour after moonrise, and the moonglow has already taken on the characteristics of the sun.I will be sharing an earlier moonrise image later.
