At A Hotel Restaurant A Man Sees An Attractive Woman Sitting Alone At The Next Table.
Suddenly, She Sneezes, And A Glass Eye Comes Flying Out Of Her Eye Socket. It Hurls By The Man And He Snatches It Out Of The Air And Hands It Back To Her.
"This Is So Embarrassing", The Woman Says, And Pops Her Eye Back InPlace. "I'm Sorry To Have Disturbed You. Let Me Make It Up To You And Buy Dinner. May I Join You?" He Nods.
The Woman Is A Stimulating Conversationalist, Stunningly Pretty And The Man Finds They Have A Lot In Common.
He Gets Her Phone Number And Asks, "You're The Most Charming Woman I've Ever Encountered. Are You This Nice To Every Guy You Meet?"
"No." She Replies. "You Just Happened To Have Caught My Eye."

Jagged Ambush Bug ~ Genus Phymata
The Jagged Ambush Bugs are insects I see quite often. 99% of the time they are set up on a wildflower and waiting for some poor soul to land on it - then they strike. They have strong grips on their front to hold an insect inplace when it land, and those other sets of legs anchor it to flower while their venomous beak does the rest.

Agrileza valley, 4 km N of Sounion, high towers and ruins of large rural residences, as well as traces of the ancient marble quarries are quite well preserved. The marble of Agrilesa was white and thin - grained, but it had a light ash-coloured shade with sometimes, ash veins. It was used for the construction of the temples of Poseidon and Athena in Sounio.
THE PRINCESS TOWER -The tower, with its outbuildings, stands upon a low neck of land jutting eastward
between two branches of the lower Agrileza stream bed it is close to the great ancient
road which leads from Sounion to the north. The tower itself is circular in plan, its
outer diameter five and a half meters. It is built throughout of local marble, with
heavy blocks in courses on the outside, a lining of smaller stones within; the total
thickness of the wall is just under a meter. Although little over a meter in height is
preserved, the thickness of the wall and the remains of fallen blocks around it demand
a much greater original height. The single door faces southeast toward the sea, and
the doorposts, with carefully tooled faces and slightly drafted margins, are still inplace, while the massive lintel lies on the ground outside. In the springtime, the tower
is a favorite haunt of shepherds, who perch upon its walls to watch their flocks and; they will still tell the passing stranger tales of the little princess
who was imprisoned in this tower by her cruel father, whose Palace (the Temple of
Poseidon) lies below on the cape.
After testing the overhang of locos as they move past the two road loco shed, so they won't hit its walls etc, I've now set inplace the inner floor and now all I have to do is build the outer walls and roof plus the drivers tea shed at the rear. I'm not sure as yet to what style but it will follow the Southern practice of either local stone, like the station is, or preformed concrete design.
Due to limited space the rear wall and road is stunted and there is a curve in the track which means I can barely fit a Bulleid loco in.
I tried all ways to fit in a turntable but alas no room as I aim to include a village complete with pub, church and grave yard plus shops and cottages so space is tight.
Discovered if I take 1/2pans out of their little holder I can add some extras in the middle...and it hold a wee sponge inplace too...
On the old stairway leading to the long abandoned Highgate Station the original tiles are still inplace

The electric switcher was made live through an HO-scale pantograph by Marklin who provided the overhead catenary wires held inplace with thin slices of rubber hose. The motor mechanism was modified with a switch to allow the locomotive to operate by either the overhead or track current. Staying on the Willowbrook subject, I had a look through my photograph archive and found this superb photograph. Willowbrook tore the rule book up in 1974, when it launched the futuristic 008 Spacecar coach. Gone was the chrome and glitter that adorned Duple and Plaxton coaches, inplace was a radical, if not stylish looking coach. Willowbrook's press information talks about the ergonomically designed driver's compartment, one piece laminated windscreen, superb finish, excellent engineering and most of all, the strength of the all steel framework. Thus the Spacecar promised so much, but was let down by the use of light gauge metal and dependency of fibreglass. To drum up interest, Willowbrook showed two high specification prototype Spacecars, one was the famous Play Boy coach, featuring Bunny Girls. Only a small number of coach companies decided to take a gamble and purchase the Spacecar. R & S Travel of London took the first two production Spacecars, JYM 742/3N both on the Bedford YRT chassis. Because these two Spacecars were intended for sightseeing work around London, they featured a continuous row of transparent panels along the roof centre line. The State owned National Bus Company became the largest customer for the Spacecar, the first batch on the Bedford YRT were delivered during the first half of 1975, further batches were delivered during the latter part of 1975, into 1976 and the final batch arrived in 1977. The NBC Spacecars were built on the Bedford YRT, YMT, AEC Reliance and Leyland Leopard chassis, most being 11-metre coaches. The NBC leased the Spacecar bodied Bedfords, thus by 1980, they were returned to the leasing company. The well established family owned coach company, Robin Hood Travel of Rudyard in Staffordshire operated this former Shamrock & Rambler Spacecar Bedford YRT, when I caught up with KRU 442P it looked like a new coach, just look at the futuristic styling, inhanced by Robin Hood's tasteful green livery. The front of the Spacecar always looked modern, I like the one piece windscreen and rectangular headlights. The chrome wheel trims add the final touch.

This Stop & Shop, on east of Milford, is one of their stores still revealing the triangular-based architecture that is typical of the late 90s Stop & Shop stores that were built as Super Stop & Shop. While Stop & Shops in the Hartford, CT area received major revamps just last fall (inplacing the new logo, similar to the original red & green stoplight logo), this store in presence has the fruit basket logo on the exterior, as well as the interior changes during the modern fruit-basket era, hence the renovation made to this store a couple years back.
In addition, there is a S&S gas station in front of their store.

The History of the Kriemhild-Mill:
During the 15th century people converted the palisades around the town to brick-build walls, towers and gates. The northern town border became the most
fortified with a wall high about 7m!
The fortification of Xanten was heavily damaged by the war of
1618-1648, and the township grew poor. Merchands, goods
and mob invaded through the demolished circle of walls. The
township lost by this way a lot of its customs-income.
With that reason they rebuild the walls, unfortunately without
restoring the public balance.
On the wall there were still existing several small watchtowers, which got to used as prison (Thefts Tower). At least there was a Nightwatchmans-, a Swineherds-, a Poor-People-HunterTower. Chasing the poor was one of the famoust tasks of the police. As beeing public employees they got the right of a public dwelling. Thus they had to live in one of the dark and moisturious towers.
After the war of 1756-1763 the township was that poverished
that they sold the towers to interested citisans. Those who
only wanted to use the bricks, had to close the wall inplace to
prevent invasion of `problems`. The policemans tower was
wrecked, the Swineherds Towers is still til nowadays used as dwelling. In 1778 the Nightwatchmans Tower was sold to the merchand Gerhard Schless. He converted it to a garden-house. His son Heinrich decided to use it commercially by constructing a windmill with oilmill machinery. Therefor he erected on the torso a conical body with galery and a boatshaped hat. Later he sold this mill to the family of Hermann, millers famous arround in the lower Rhine. They sold it to the merchand Böll, who ran a ropery at this place. He again endowed it to the township in the early years of the 19th century.
Mills erect on former watchtowers (as in Rees, Kempen,
Zons) were called "Bear-Mills" because of their typical shape
like a standing bear.
I have decided to do a 365 project again, or rather a 366 since it's a leap year. When I first made that decision 2 years ago with Simon we did it inplace of a new years resolution to improve our photography skills and have some fun in the process. Photography was a passion we shared, but I was mainly support for Simons amazing talent. Since then Simon has died and once I pulled myself together enough I restarted my 365 as a tribute to Simon. I learnt a lot about myself during the project. The whole process from using Simons camera, planning and taking the photos, expressing myself pictorially and the comments and support from people on Flickr helped me through my grief and healing and I am forever grateful for that. I will never forget Simon, he will always be in my heart and soul and I want to make him proud. However, this year I am doing this project for myself. I have come a long way and learnt a lot, but learning never stops and I am looking forward to picking up my camera everyday.
In order to help me with inspiration I have set up a challenge group called "Creatively Challenged" and am looking forward to seeing how everyone tackles these challenges. This weeks challenge is "All Things New". New Year, New Start, New Beginning.
I went for a New Years Day walk with Isobel and Neil at Llangollen today. Weather was grim, but we came across this little church called Llantysilio and it really made my day. The caretakers were just locking up when we arrived, but asked if we wanted to look inside. Of course we did. They were lovely people and encouraged us to take the dogs inside! I couldn't believe it when I saw Sky and Jenny run up the aisle of the church!! It's a quaint little chapel, originally built in 1254 and restored in 1869 by the Victorians. The stained glass windows are from the 15th Century and there is a medieval oak lectern that is supposed to be an eagle, but we all agreed looked more like a crow. In the graveyard were the first VERY early snowdrops, certainly new.
Happy New Year to you all!

Grey-Green (Cowie) had ordered four Royal Tiger Doyens, but only took one, due to delivery delays, inplace of the ordered Doyens, they took Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Royal Tigers. Here we see Grey-Green's Doyen B50.15 registration A839 SYR parked alongside the Cutty Sark at Greenwich during September 1983. By 1986 Grey Green sold their Doyen. Of interest the Cutty Sark was launched in Dumbarton, Clydeside on 22nd November 1869.
MG K3 Magnette (1932-34) Engine 1087cc S6 OC Supercharged
Production 33 (Originals)
Registration Number XBV 226
MG SET

The MG K3 Magnette is considered one of the all time greats. Basicall a K series chassis, with a supercharged engine machined and balanced crank, straight cut bevel gears for the cam drive and a Number 9 Powerplus blower was driven from crankcase front via a reduction gear.with 120bhp and driven through an ENV pre-selector gearbox. 1933 cars have slab tank styling, 1934 versions have a pointed tail, different head, steel brake parts inplace of elektron ones and a Roofs type Marshall supercharger blowing at 10-13psi.
The types greatest wins were the 1933 TT with Nuvolari at the wheel, two consecutive Junior Coppa Acerbos and the 1933 BRDC 500 miles race at 106.53 mph
XBV 226 is a well executed Replica and is based on a KD series chassis, this was the four-seat version of the K3 and the car was exported to Australia on 2nd June 1934 as a rolling chassis Using the KD as a base meant that apart from shortening and modifying the cruciform, no other chassis modifications were required.
