It is impossible to think that I have been on Flickr for 3 years - so far - and its impossible to think that you all keep coming back to look at and comment on my work.
It is also Impossible to think that I have taken some of the shots that are in this photostream - it is as if they are the work of someone else! Thank you all for being here to help me keep moving forward with this passionate pursuit!

Great tune~!
The sentiments communicated through this song are similar to the way I feel about my success with this photography thing - it is impossible to think that someone out there likes what they see!
So, thank you!
Cheers to the start of year 4!
I stopped a photographer on the street who was loading a fresh pack of Impossible film into his Polaroid camera. He photographed me and I photographed him and he kindly handed me this print before it had developed. Sadly it didn't turn out well but I really appreciate his generosity. My shot is currently drying in the darkroom so it will follow soon.

You have gone, and so effortlessly
You have won
You can go ahead tell them
Tell them all I know now
Shout it from the roof tops
Write it on the sky line
All we had is gone now
Here is a photo of an impossible triangle that I designed and realized via 3D printing. The material is stainless steel with a bronze matte finish.

Inspired by Adidas Advertising Campaign...
Actually, this pic was made, because a friend of mine had a picture with Backham from Adidas Advertisement as his Facebook profile, and i thought it would be better if he will have similar picture but with him on it...that is what we have got...

This scan looks better than the original, which is very light. I don't know if it is the film or the camera, but I found it generally unsatisfactory, though the throw-back to Fox Talbot era image quality is quaintly charming.
I accidentally busted my SX-70, The Impossible Project fixed it for me like the amazing people they are. I put the half pack that I was using when I broke it back into my SX-70 as a test and this is the frame that spit out. Quite pretty.
I got logged out of this account for a few years, I finally got back in randomly. I moved halfway across the country and have a huge archive of photos to update here. If you are interested in my work please check out my instagram account @jaysmithphoto for more.
Took this photo on my 30th birthday as a self portrait.

in-process shots of a prop for a play - 'impossibly beautiful' is how they are described in the script. no problem, says I. Oh, they are also destroyed (stomped on!) every night, and then we see them get created. Cool.

It's impossible to find the original straps with the clip lugs for old Hasselblad cameras, not to mention the fact that they are ridiculously overpriced too. Looking for an alternative, I came across the lovely Gordy's Camera Straps, handmade leather camera straps wih a wonderful coloured cord binding and the option to add a matching leather neckpad to them too. They are made to order, and you can request a specific length for the leather to suit your needs. I was surprised as to how strong the actual cord is at holding onto my camera (considering how heavy and bulky the Hasselblad is). A very quick and friendly service too, but the best part is that it didn't cost the earth. As it happens, I think I will be getting a few more for my other cameras, namely my Canon rangefinder and other film cameras.
