What a difference a change of colour can make. This is a Mono conversion of my last post. Think it turned out quite dramatic.
This is a very long exposure of 601 secs, using a Lee Big Stopper together with a Little Stopper.

A favorite shot from this past monsoon...September 1st was a great lightning day, sat here for almost an hour, barely in and out of the rain...and finally the bolts got close and I loved this one slamming into those hills northeast of Willcox.
If you look super close, you can see two upward streamers at the impact point!

En el recorrido del Transcantábrico , estaba incluida la visita a esta bella iglesia, considerada una de las obras cumbres del románico en el mundo. Está entre los grandes hitos que este estilo dejó a lo largo del camino de Santiago.
Comenzó a levantarse en el año 1066 y su reconstrucción se realizó entre 1896 y 1904 y así quedó hasta el día de hoy . Tiene el título bien merecido de Monumento Nacional.
De todo este conjunto arquitectónico , es la zona de la cabecera la que más riqueza ofrece. Tres ábsides, y el mismo número de naves , son los que la iglesia tiene en su interior.
Unas columnas culminadas por capiteles dividen los ábsides en varios espacios verticales, mientras que una imposta de taqueado Jaqués que los recorre a media altura divide la superficie en dos partes
La inferior es lisa y en la superior se concentran las ventanas y todos los elementos decorativos, como los canecillos que adornan el alero de los tejados.
Esta obra me impactó . Me compré un libro con todas las explicaciones y la descripción de todas las decoraciones de columnas y capiteles , es fantástica la arquitectura,
La imagen no es muy buena no pude hacerla completa , no tenía suficiente espacio para ello además de estar, atestada de gente apuntando desde todos los ángulos.
El cielo estaba de porcelana azul y la iglesia me resultó una verdadera joya recortándose contra él.

For this photo I used some green and red stone mason’s chalk line powder that I put on a mirror. Then I tried to throw a ping pong ball on the powder to see what the impact in the powder would look like.

L'impact dans l'eau fut brutal. Dans ce sous-bois niché au coeur d'Alençon, où coulait la Briante, les ombres et lumières de la scène ne pouvaient que créer une curieuse ambiance...
Sembrava davvero una scena da film catastrofici...

There's someone who's loved you forever but you don't know it.
You might feel it and just not show it.
So i managed to spare a few hours last night to concentrate on this weeks theme after looking through some images for inspiration. I had originally thought to do a balloon filled with paint exploding on my face but the lengths i would have had to gone through meant a lot of clearing up, so after hearing this song i thought what if an angel fell to earth.
Hardly original but i really wanted to attempt it anyway. I had a lot of layers for this as i took the shot at night at it was not a great quality image so i needed to cover it up! lol Then i added the blur and motion effects to add some movement and sense of "impact" to the image.
I hope you like as it has given me loads of ideas for the future, i'm my own worst enemy. Laters peeps. :)
