Outreterre

OUTLAND
I have often visited these foreign lands, both improbable and inaccessible in the reality that is ours.
They are intangible lands, located in the imagination of science-fiction writers, graphic designers, poets and other explorers of the imagination.
They are imaginary lands that few of us could explore prisoners as we are of the reality of everyday life.
But, above all, they are spaces of freedom one could explore, without constrains, physical and philosophical universes which will be perhaps those of our children.
Could you understand the irresistible songs of our faraway Earth? It is time to come back and love it.

Hope you all had a great Sunday and Father's Day!
I combined to Wombo creations for this sphere dwelling.
Prompts: Waterline view of small steampunk sphere floating on surface of stormy sea ,ultra realistic intricate details
Style: Abstract Fluid
Perhaps the recently discovered "ocean planet" in the Draco constellation will bring suprises like this. If nothing else, it has given me some ideas for more steampunk sci fi water worlds via Wombo.
Thanks for exploring this closer and for all your comments which are so very appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend.
Combo of 2 Wombo creations with enhancement done in Pastello.
Prompts: Groundhog coming out of hole with squirrel holding light, misty forest, ultra realistic details
Style: VFX v2
Gregory Groundhog enlisted the help of his little buddy to help him practice casting his shadow for his big day.
I don't know why Gregory wants to cast his shadow since no one in the forest wants Winter to last six more weeks. Of course, I have no idea what he is drinking in that cup.
Thanks for visiting!
2 Wombo images blended together with Pixelmator Pro.
Prompts: Ice cave, frozen puddles, misty sunlight back lighting icicles, up realistic details
Style: The City
The danger of shopping at the Ice Mall.
I made several variations with these prompts. The one with the car was a strange addition, but when the one with the lone figure appeared, it all made sense.
Ice is on my mind...and everything outside, so you may see a few more frosty concoctions.
Thank you for spending some time helping this guy find his car.
Combination of 4 Wombos, blended with Pixelmator Pro and color enhanced with PicLight.
Prompts: Alien cavern
Style: The City
Wombo really likes the prompt "alien" as do I. Something interesting always emerges when heading in the sci fi direction.

Blending of 4 Wombo creations
Prompts: Tiny cottage under mushroom in overgrown forest, vines, wildflowers, ivy , ultra realistic details
Style: The City
Don't kick the mushrooms! They might be someone's home.
In a fantasy forest mood today. So many secret places hidden in the undergrowth. Well, at least in the undergrowth of my imagination.
Enjoy and thank you for visiting!
“The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” Sylvia Plath
I had created the Wombo images a while ago but never used them. This is a combo of 2 of those, plus smaller elements masked in from 3 others. The framed picture on the wall (left) and on the easel are 2 other Wombo creations. The blending, masking, cloning were all done in Pixelmator Pro as well as the torn corner on the wall picture. Light and color were enhanced with PicLight.
Prompts: abandoned art studio
Style: Not sure, but most likely VFX
I can relate to this scene. I have a couple of unfinished paintings leaning against the wall in my hobby room. I blame it on this darned computer!

Life underground on a planet that has become unlivable on the surface. On the right is the atrium where the inhabitants can enjoy some filtered sunlight from above.
Thank you for visiting this dark dank place. Now go enjoy the sunshine and fresh air!
2 Wombo images blended. Color and light enhanced with PicLight.
Prompts: It came upon a midnight clear
Style: Spectral
Not what I was aiming for with the prompt, but I liked the moodiness.
Many thanks to all of you who take the time to view, fave and comment!
Created with Dream Wombo. Textured with Distressed FX Plus and iColorama
I started with a "technical sketch of a steampunk time machine" using "The City" style. Then I used my favorite result for an input in Watercolor v2 for this final painting.

Created with Dream by Wombo, texture added with Distressed FX plus and iColorama.
Prompts: Elf house in spooky woods, misty moonlight
Style: The City
Not many days left before Halloween so I need to post these spooky places while I can. And I still haven't touched the trick-or-treat bags of candy. That has never happened before!
Enjoy the walk in the woods but look out for the creepy crawlies.
Scene created with Dream Wombo. I added the squirrels from my photos. Softened and blended with Impresso Pro and PicLight.
Happy little family of squirrels, all warm and cozy and ready for the winter.

Prompts: Frozen overgrown swamp planet, Alien treehouse in tree floating free through icy swamp, frosty roots and vines dangling down into water, warm side lighting, ultra intricate realistic details
Style: The City or Soft Touch (I didn't make notes but I use these styles the most)
Does not look like a comfortable place to live, especially since this is the planet's summer.

Blending of several Wombo images done with Pixelmator Pro
Prompts: Santa's steampunk sled heavily decorated for Christmas
Styles: The City and Spectral
The reindeer can rest this year although Rudolph was a bit miffed. Plus Santa won't have to sit out in the weather. During the rest of the year, he plans to use this as his flying RV.
This was so much fun to put together! Hope you enjoy it and thank you for taking a closer look. I appreciate all your faves, comments and invitations!
Created by blending elements of several Dream Wombo images.
This was a lot of fun to put together but it was hard to return to the real world when it was finished. Can I please live in one of those magical trees?
Thanks for joining me in this peaceful spot and please stay as long as you like.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Created with Dream Wombo and one of my textures.

Created with Dream Wombo and a texture as an input.
Inspired by Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder," in which a time traveler steps on a butterfly and changes the future.
Straight from Dream by Wombo.
Prompts: California poppies backlit by sun rising over distant mountains, misty sunlight
Style: I think it was Spectral or HDR (sorry, I didn't make a note of it this time)
I've always loved the vibrant orange of these poppies along the roadside. Backlit, they are little lanterns brightening the early or late times of day.
I thank you all for your faves, comments and invitations!
A combination of several Wombo images. The nest was made up of 2 images and each bird came from separate pictures as well as several of the decorations. I know that sounds tedious, but I enjoy it as it makes it more like what I wanted. Final enhancement with Pastello.
Prompts: Birds and nests heavily decorated for Christmas, forest, ultra realistic details
Style: The City
Early celebration for these feathered friends as several will have to migrate to join their families for Christmas.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
2 Wombo creations combined and then processed with colored pencil in JixiPix Pastello

Created with 3 main Wombo images with elements picked from several others.
Prompts: Interior view of a dark cave room inside tree trunk where photorealistic squirrel (or chipmunk or mouse) lives, tiny furniture, nut shells, ultra realistic intricate details

When I was young, one of my favorite books was about a chipmunk. The pictures inside his home always fascinated me, so that was the inspiration for these 2 creations.
This little chipmunk looks ready to welcome his squirrel friend.
Thank you in advance for all your views, faves and comments!
