Okay, so... today I'm in a state of high anxiety. Why? Because. GULP. Yesterday I sent (for the first time ever) a batch of my stories to a learned person, requesting his honest feedback.
Said learned person was my English instructor in college in the 80s. I haven't seen him since that fateful day when I sold my books, vacated my apartment and tossed away plans to pursue a degree in favour of working in radio.
He was the last person to formally teach me anything in any way related to writing. He also encouraged me greatly, way back when. He thought I had potential.
So imagine how scary it is for me to show him my work... more than two decades later. I haven't had any additional schooling or instruction or even advice in the intervening years... and I've never allowed anyone to read my personal writing... except here on Flickr. That's what gave me the courage to send a few stories to my old prof. And now I'm all anxiety.
Meantime, I have hack work to do, so I'll try to forget about personal writing for now.
I just wanted to thank my Flickr friends for giving me the confidence to take one more step forward with my (always anxiety producing) scribbling.

Excerpt from www.waterfallfestival.ca/:
Over two action-packed weekends this fall, Torontoโs waterfront welcomes visitors of all ages in a celebration of creativity, culture, and community.
Presented by a coalition of waterfront partners, the Water/Fall Festival offers a lineup of interactive art (on and off the water), harvest-themed food & drink market, live music and dance performances, a sustainable โmakersโ market, boat tours and more.
One reason I look forward to frosty mornings is the way the frost highlights the shapes and structure of the leaves on the ground.
Our first snow - just a light dusting but enough to settle on the leave of this Katsura Tree. What a pretty tree tucked behind the fragrance garden at the arboretum. The leave are sort of heart shaped. I love fall!
Iโm not in the mood to explore this year (new places). That feeling is foreign to me. And I have so many days off that must be used before the end of the year. Meanwhile all I want is a familiar place I fell in love with, beautiful sunsets, cold crispy nights, random books, fireplace and sunrise stroll. And repeat. Makes sense ?!! Not even to me, but every vacation is the same & probably will be the same till end of the year & I really love ๐ t ! . . . And my stylish Lululemons are all very for mid-October ๐๐
Fell in love with just a word โItalyโ when Italian was introduced to me at 14. Didnโt think back then that it was possible to carry love for something through the years & experience. Thatโs the thing once we start noticing the details they stay with us forever ๐
This empty place for sunset is breathtaking ... Empty because it was already closed ... but when did it ever stop me ?!! ๐๐โฅ๏ธ๐๐ Was worth it !!!! My new very favorite place !!! Love love love it !!
Happiness breeds happiness.
The sun shines even in bad weather.
Just love every day with all your heart.
Give the wings freedom.
Call Mom today.
If you have not forgiven someone, you forgive.
Our lives are unique...
Don't lie to yourself!
Now and here
Live, don't wait!

I love life!
I love to live!
I live love!
I love you!..

I probably didnโt learn much in this life (if keep making mistakes) but ONE thing know for sure ... If something doesnโt make you happy get off your a.. & move on ... or ... change the road โฅ๏ธ
Personally, even though this photo is more gloomy than others, it turned out to be my favorite of the day. The thought of โunknownโ & โunexpected turnโ... the unexpected is what keeps us going & hoping.
Rustic bridges, rustic-themed poetryโฆ there's something nostalgic and healing about Brooklynโs urban-suburban autumn. So many parallels that have nothing in common are somehow intertwined inside the heart and soul.
I absolutely in love with nature & Brooklyn, NY is probably the only urban area where I can actually live because itโs half urban & half suburban โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ๐ Perfection !!!
I know I know I'm behind again LOL. Sorry I will be catching up by tomorrow night.
HBM I will be gone most of tomorrow! Xoxo
I really have mixed feelings about November. Sometimes I look at it and everything around is really beautiful. Other times I get sad from the way seasons change & time flies.
I donโt know ... but those late October nights after work 12 years ago reading books about New York by the window with a hot drink something there made me happy โฅ๏ธ
This place is not anything special but it is my favorite intersection for various reasons & family related moments โฅ๏ธ
"You realize that a man can take a train and never reach his destination, that a man has no destination at the end of the road, but that he merely has a starting point on the road - which is Home. You see it all, this epic of mankind, before your eyes; it is a limpid and awful truth, it has a naked and beautiful reality."

How more beautiful everything looks from above ... when I look down at nature or anything else from top just think to myself โf... this life is gorgeousโ ... itโs like going through reincarnation every time & being reborn again โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ
