"I am involved in both painting and music, and because of this I have managed to strengthen the interaction between these two modes of expression so that I am able to understand art as being strongly influenced by rhythms and music as being expressed in colours.
Painting and playing music both rely on the same resources of energy, and they have become essentials for each other - without the balance introduced by the other I can see clearly how my self-expression becomes maimed."
