We are about the enter the Bandhavgarh forest through the Khitauli gate of the park. After our safari vehicle has done reporting to the main control centre and has picked up the mandatory safari guide, we drive down to the park entrance gate. Entry is tightly controlled and our ids are checked before we are allowed to drive in. You can see the lady park official by the leading vehicle at extreme right. Here, they check the entry permit, vehicle number, the guide and the guests are verified by checking our Adhar cards. (the national id card in India). I'd foolishly forgotten to carry my Adhar card on one of the safaris, luckily a young lady riding with us reminded me that I may have it on my cellphone under India's Digilocker app. Luckily I did, and thank goodness for the tech savvy young lady and the modern digital India of today!
