A gift from Karin, a postcard from Kenichi and Helping Hands blanket #2

There’s not much I could say about this shot except it’s a more unusual style for me. Last week when we were wondering through the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) with David Nightingale’s HDR class, I spotted this reflection of David and one of the students in the glass of the Gate building. Couple of Photoshop curves later and this is the end result. I thought I’ll post it to break a bit the monotony of posting just architectural shots. I would love to hear what you think about it…

Jo and I took the girls off to Hyde End Studios yesterday for some family shots. Simon (Our photographer) just posted a couple of shots on his blog. We're off to view the whole lot this afternoon. Can't wait. :)

some claim that Fremont is the "center of the Universe." but how can something without a boundary have a center?

This one was inspired by David Nightingale's Winter Lake. I still very much prefer his image to mine, just getting the colour palette right to make it look cold is quite tricky.

This was taken in Dulwich Park a week or so ago.

It looks like the headphone jack is the limiting factor.

My initial impressions. (Short version: It's awesome.)

i shot these at the museum of contempporary arts in chicago. if you are in chicago the "mca" is a must see. if you love photography then make your way to the top floor first thing. my wife and i spent hours in the photography exhibit alone.

once again i was processing these photos and liked them both individually, but they kept crying about wanting to be together. always a sucker for true love i granted them their wish. with this photo i have decided that the photoblog is missing an architecture category.

on a side note i will be moving the photoblog to a /photoblog directory or something clever. here are some of my ideas:

~ /iphoto

~ /ipictures

~ /iblog

~ /iworlddomination

~ /iwanttheworldtoseemyphotos

~ /ihopeyouknowiamjokingbynow

i will be sure to let everyone know about the change in advance, but it is something i am now actively working on. i will not bore you with all of the details as to why, but i will tell you that i am excited about it.

It’s my first time to play with GarageBand. Man! This is a suweeet app! I put together this 6-track composition just like that! I recorded everything with my Axe-C:Ebony, built-in MacBook PRO microphone, then I added some effects and tweaked the decibels on each track.

The result is this groovy bluesy riffs in the key of E. Check it out and pump up the volume.
