Study after study has found that allowing 'work from home' and 'hybrid working' gives rise to an increase in productivity as opposed to the reduction that is often painted in our press and media.

Given that it's Friday - I wish you all a wonderful weekend ahead my Flickr friends. Whatever your latitude, hemisphere, and therefore season, that you are in - I hope that the weather is kind to your photography needs.

Stay safe and keep the shutters clicking.

Stone Age Management Thinking - IMRAN™

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt says most employees should return to the office, rather than work from home permanently. Wasn’t Eric head of Sun and Novell or something? How’re those companies doing with his management philosophy? … Oh, double snap.

Work From Home

Sunday Evening Post, Vol.3, No.1

Elon Musk - Another Laughable "Moral Authority" Figures - IMRAN™

Yes, the Nazi-enabling fascism-loving rich-boy is another of the hypocrite self-appointed moral authorities these days. Elon Musk claims working from home is morally wrong. What dp you think of that?

Hybrid working means I don't have to venture out on cold frosty mornings and can work from the kitchen table, in front of a cosy stove.

So I found a nice wallpaper at deviantart.com that allows for an area to scroll images in the center. I'm using 4 desktop enhancement applications:

Rainlendar-Modified enacao customize.org/rainlendar/skins/57943

CD Art Display-modded from default skin that comes with CD Art

Now that I've learned a few more commands in Rainmeter, I've placed what I call Alpha/Omega buttons in the bottom left corner. The buttons allow me to close all of the Rainmeter apps with the exception of the images in the center. With a press of the button, they all come back on. Despite have 40 rss feeds going, it doesn't ho up my RAM, Rainmeter still runs light from 12,646K of memory to 18,084K with everything up.

I've made the RSS Feeds collapse and expand and the buttons are on top of each other, when one is active(show, arrow down), the other one is hidden(hide, arrow up). They all have a refresh button (a dot) always showing making it easy to see any modifications I may be making.

I'm also digging the gradient feature in Rainmeter to get the shading on the left and the right. If you look at the background link, you'll see the original does not appear as dark on the ends.

One of my absolute favorites at the meet.

Absolutely doing nothing of any consequence.

Dock, in order: Finder, Dashboard, Spaces, 1Password, Yahoo Messenger (I changed the internal icon to another native internal icon, b/c the happy Yahoo! guy creeps me out, in a Burger King "The King" way), Adium (sitting on a MacBook), iChat, AddressBook, iCal, Writer, iTunes, Photo Booth, iPhoto, iTerm, Journler, Safari, and Mail.app.

All of the changed icons are from hybridworks.jp/, except for the aforementioned Yahoo!, and the griffin Mail.app stamp, for which I humbly thank tonysmac.

Oh, and the checkboard (how appropriate) Dock is thanks to DockDoctor.

Mind the gap, and the folders are Knitting, Documents, and Downloads.

H23 w/ITR tranny in an 88 CRX, I imagine this thing is quick as hell.

In an empty room, a woman employee sits at a desk, her laptop positioned in front of her. With a serious expression on her face, she appears deep in thought, engrossed in contemplation about a particular matter. The minimalistic surroundings highlight her intense focus as she channels her thoughts and deliberates on her work.

Featuring the Sakura tea ceremony icon set from hybridworks.jp/. The desktop is a hacked up version of the drive image background. Love those colours!

A fantastic Disk Image design from HybridWorks for their free Desktop Vacation wallpapers (which are beyond amazing). I love the fact that they include an icon of the mouse pointer monument to put on your desktop as well. My only gripe is that there are many versions and you have to download each as a separate .DMG.

See this car all the time in town. Very nice.

I did this for my Ideas and Images class. I was to pick 3 influences from a selection of different fields (one illustrator, one studio, one photographer, one designer, one web designer). I chose Stanley Donwood, Hybrid Works, and Sam Javanrouh.
