Okay, you know what I realized I needed earlier this week? A small project. Something that doesn't involve the effort to pick it up as MFBFD or the Squid or what-have-you. So I cracked into this seasonally-appropriate guy! He's a Sandra Gilmore design (called "Hurry"), and I'm using a stitch guide from Aristeia. Today was spent in the dynamic throes of tent stitching his face in about a billion colors of six-strand DMC. My wrist hurts now.
We watched the football playoffs, and Numb3rs.

Promoting "Mama Africa" at the Sydney Film Festival, Nina stayed the full week at Severin and Jacek's apartment. The view from the living room was so breathtaking that Olivier couldn't resist to join them for the weekend.
After the Australian premiere of "Mama Africa", a laughing picnic took place in front of the most photographed shell in the world, followed by a beautiful coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi on a mild winter Sunday. All they missed were their swimming suits... Sydney, we will come back!

Today we meet up with a person from Flickr who lives in New Zealand and we just happened to be at Surfers that same week. We had a fantastic day together. First of all we went up to the top of the Q! building. The we visited the seafood market before having lunch, followed by watching the feeding of the Pelicans
The Pelicans are waiting for the the Charis Seafood back doors open which is about 1.30pm every day except Monday for their fed of fish. The fish carcass are tossed into the air and it is great watching them.. most get one fish and move off but some wait around for some more!

This unripe blackberry may not make it to ripe as the weather cools and the sun drops lower in the sky. The berries around it have all been picked, leaving only the brown "berry connection points" ...a botanical term ;-)
