Obama out of El Salvador.

She looks like a starving child in some third world country. In actuality, she's quite spoiled.

Executive Summary for the State of Oklahoma

The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the “Oklahoma Food Banks,” are the largest private hunger-relief organizations in the state. Food Banks are the single most important source of food for Oklahoma's hunger relief agencies. Volunteers are the backbone of our work and one of our most valuable resources in the fight against hunger.

This report provides a comprehensive look at hunger in Oklahoma and how the Oklahoma Food Banks and their partner agencies are working together to understand and address the needs of Oklahomans who find themselves in need of food assistance. The information found in this report includes results from Hunger in America 2014, a nation-wide study conducted by Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger-relief charity in the United States. Additional data was provided by state and national reports on poverty and hunger. The information is used to help guide the development of programs and solutions that improve food security for individuals and their households and inform public awareness and policy development for addressing hunger in Oklahoma.

University of Saint Mary students—supported by faculty, staff, and members of the Leavenworth area community—gathered in McGilley Field House on Nov. 15 to package 22,032 meals for shipment to families in need in Ebola-stricken Liberia, exceeding the group's goals by over 2,000 meals!

The effort, part of the university’s annual anti-hunger activities, was held in concert with international hunger relief agency Outreach Inc.

Feed the Need is the 2014 entry in the John Baker Global Service Project series—an annual event named in honor for USM Board of Trustee Member John Baker, who was well-known for his spirit of community service. Baker passed away this year.

Campus Minister Bob Killion says the event was a smashing success. "Working with Outreach was a real pleasure. Isaac McNary, who worked with us on the project, was especially impressed with USM’s athletes, who worked hard to make the event both fun and successful."
