The 31st March was the last day of Hong Kong's Star Ferry service to Hung Hom. The contract had come to an end and, owing to declining passenger numbers, no company was willing to operate it.
Ironically the final days ferries were packed with everyone taking their final opportunity to ride on the iconic journey - including me!
What a great environment to play some footy and basketball here. We need some more outdoor activities definitely.
The terminus of many of the cross border trains, along with East and West Rail.
I hadn't been here in forever.

A Russian PELENG 17mm f/2.8 ultra wide angle lens (angle of view 180 degrees), with a Nikon D3s was used to make the shot.
Our balcony looks down on the King's Park playing fields. Beyond that is the transport interchange of Hung Hom with its knot of road and rail leading to the Eastern Harbour Crossing. On the left is the beginning of Wampoa.
As soon as we walked into this apartment we knew that we wanted to live with that view. It is the first time we have lived above the third floor and you soon find out how much variation there is in the atmosphere - from crystal clear to completely gone. When guidebooks cover Hong Kong they always show the view from Kowloon side and we have a slice of that from Wanchai to to North Point.
More views from the same balcony can be seen on Pondspider's Flickr site.
Last weekend i found a Nice little shop lost in a old shopping mall .
HungHom square....
they are actually the holga factory store .
their best costumer are Japan market and Lomography .
Holga 120 manufactured by Universal Electronic Industries, which was founded in 1982 (visit their shop at Shop 23A, G/F, Hunghom Square, 37-39 Ma Tau Wai Rd., Hung Hom, 2773-6003). The Holga introduced high-end 120-format film photography to amateurs by providing it in the most low-fi camera possible. The end result is a big black box reminiscent of 70s cameras. The camera is entirely manual, even the aperture and focus settings, and any photos taken with it have tell-tale darkened corners. The Holga has a loyal following even today and is especially a hit among hipsters thanks largely to local photographic society and retailer Lomography, which started selling it around the world (the price has jumped from $110 to $585 per unit HKD).
100% hong-kong
if you are HOLGA lover you must go there if you pass by HK

I took this photo on my way back home. Nathan Road is always buzzing with life, colour and activity.
Taking the 102 (I think) over to Causeway Bay via the Cross Harbour Tunnel. As is the norm, traffic congestion was pretty bad leading to the tunnel.

Another side of my home building. Went to the top floor to take this shot.
Quite a contrast of old and new buildings.
Rebuild, rebuild and rebuild, which seems to be the only direction our city is going to.
There may be a huge wall in this same location sooner or later.
Hung Hom is a neighbourhood on the southern tip of Kowloon, in Hong Kong, with a mix of residential and industrial buildings.
The Meliaceae, or the Mahogany family, is a flowering plant family of mostly trees and shrubs (and a few herbaceous plants) in the order Sapindales,
They are characterised by alternate, usually pinnate leaves without stipules, and by syncarpous, apparently bisexual (but actually mostly cryptically unisexual) flowers borne in panicles, cymes, spikes, or clusters. Most species are evergreen, but some are deciduous, either in the dry season or in winter.
The family includes about 50 genera and 550 species, with a pantropical distribution; one genus (Toona) extends north into temperate China and south into southeast Australia, and another (Melia) nearly as far north.

With the relatively new addition of the local area's MTR station, Whampoa. You can see one of the entrances on the left.
Should be the Red Bull Racing edition.
