In Drente woonde 4500 jaar geleden een boerenvolk dat in dorpen leefde. Ze bouwden huizen van hout. Van deze huizen hebben we niets teruggevonden. Wél hebben we andere bouwwerken van hen gevonden: de hunebedden. Dit volk noemen we daarom de Hunebedbouwers. Een hunebed is een grafkelder.

Nex, Fikou and Kopeke made their way to Drenthe, The Netherlands and visited one of the many 'hunebedden' located there. These ancient grave monuments are scattered across this province and some other countries in Europe and are pretty impressive! I had a lot of fun taking this one, first deciding what the ideal hunebed for a photo would be, then gathering stones to build the small hunebed and finally going there and setting up the scene to take the photo. This was one of the quicker photos I took lately, and it turned out phenomenal!

In Drenthe, the Netherlands, one finds these ancient tombs, called Hunebedden. This is one of the biggest from a strange corner, including the jeans of someone sitting on top. I tried to make the color contrast with the blue a bit more obvious, but wasn't very successful.
