La portada de El Jueves me ha resultado un tanto ofensiva, la verdad yo hubiera optado por una solución más discreta...
El 4 de septiembre de 1967 es considerada como la fecha oficial de nacimiento del grupo humorístico-musical "Les Luthiers".
Estos argentinos, son unos genios del humor, de la música y la creatividad a través de sus instrumentos informales.
Los conocí hace muuuuuchos años, cuando el padre de una buena amiga mía, uruguayo, me puso un video de ellos en su casa, y me partía de risa (yo tenía unos 14 años). Años más tarde, me los redescubrió SusanaCt y, desde entonces, soy fan absoluta (algunas historias me las sé de memoria si las escucho), aunque únicamente he podido verlos una vez en Madrid.
Una vez estuvieron propuestos al Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Comunicación.... y no ganaron... pero lo merecen, su discurso seguro que no dejaría indiferente a nadie :).
Pensé en hacer una foto inspirada en algunas de sus obras: La gallina dijo Eureka, El beso de Ariadna, La bella y graciosa moza, o la Cantata del adelantado Don Rodrigo Díaz de Carreras, de sus hazañas en tierras de Indias, de los singulares acontecimientos en que se vio envuelto y de cómo se desenvolvió.... , también pensé en recrear uno de sus instrumentos informales pero al final, tiré por fotografiar su uniforme de trabajo, en el que podemos poner la cara de cualquiera de sus integrantes.

i've always known piratebay to have a sense of humor and as i stumbled on their page today i saw this message from them. funny stuff. yes, i'm a simple guy but things like this make me laugh... probably one of the reasons i love flickr... when flickr did the whole site in "pirate" speak... i loved that! oh and how i ended up on piratebay... er... um... i was trying to go to amazon to legitimately purchase some music when somehow i ended up at this torrent site... hmm... i've only read about piratebay... i wonder wot they do?

Just after we got married I received my Grandmother's first edition of Betty Crocker's Cookbook. I use it often, for a sauce or a sidedish recipe.
Tonight I was flipping thru while I started dinner and saw this and had to share!
( a quick pic inbetween cooking so not a great shot!)
I can't imagine what my husband would think if he came home and found me laying on the kitchen floor like this!
He would think I either had completely lost it, was abducted and returned by aliens , or that I had passed out!
