In all sincerity, I cannot understand why we refuse to change the gun laws in the USA. Just compare the USA to other countries how many children are killed by guns in their schools by their citizens? Should we not pass that law first before trying a 14-year-old as an adult? Something is wrong here! Gun laws have to be made for people to understand that one cannot just kill anyone for any reason! And families must bring up their children to believe in love and understanding. We need more tolerance, less hate, and to be able to discuss things civilly to find mutual solutions! I just cannot understand with the huge number of parents in this country how it is not possible to pass a sensible law to protect our PRECIOUS children. Most parents would do anything for their children, so why do they refuse to insist upon reasonable gun laws?

Nel silenzio raccolto della stalla,
tra il calore del fieno e il fiato paziente degli animali,
una luce mite si posa sulla terra.
Non fa rumore, non chiede spazio: porta solo Pace agli uomini di buona volontà.

In the gathered silence of the stable,
among the warmth of hay and the patient breath of animals,
a gentle light settles upon the earth.
It makes no sound, asks for no space: It brings only Peace to men of good will.

“Brothers, look at the humility of God, and pour out your hearts before Him! Humble yourselves that you may be exalted by Him! Hold back nothing of yourselves for yourselves, that He who gives Himself totally to you may receive you totally!”
-Francis of Assisi, “A Letter to the Entire Order,” 28–29, in FAED, 1:118.
sometimes I meet people who carry a stillness within them. although they are full of wisdom, they neither try to lecture you, nor do they look down on you. when you are with them, there is only peace - and yet buried in this silence lies a truth

A new edit on Tomorrow Man, hope you like it. As i'm evolving in photography and processing, defining a style, i'm leaning more towards minimalism, as well in archticture, seascapes or even street photography.

But Paul is possessed of a humility, an honesty, and gentleness that serve him well in the face of what might make others vain or arrogant. I believe the source of Paul's humility and gentleness is his spirituality, which is grounded in a willingness to reflect deeply on theodicy-that is, to consider the reality of how evil is active in the world and to dare ask the painful question of how and why a good God allows the suffering of innocent people. Paul is equally willing to consider and challenging questions about the role we humans play in both causing and alleviating suffering.

True humility does not know that it is humble. If it did, it would be proud from the contemplation of so fine a virtue.~ Martin Luther
A Prayer I wrote and pray daily...
Sweet St. Damien and St. Marianne Cope of Molokai...
Please pray for me.
I so need your prayers.
Help me to have the faith,
humility and courage to follow your path...
The true way of the Cross.
Help me not to be blinded
by the petty things of life.
Help me to raise my eyes to God,
making Christ my All.
May, I learn to love listening,
and silence while offering my service
without reward.
May, I die to self and care only about
doing the work of God
as it unfolds in my life.
Help me to do these things,
which are only displays
of the love of God
for all.
May, I take up my cross
and follow Christ
and his beautiful Saints.
-Amen

During our Spring trip to Oregon, I primarily planned to explore the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor, with a couple of detours to Bandon and the Umpqua Forest. I assumed the weather would be best at the scenic corridor, but the day trip to Bandon ended up being a delightful surprise. Unlike previous visits, we experienced clear skies that evening. As the sun began to set behind the sea stacks, I quickly put my lens to its longest focal length and snapped a few photos. My aim was to fill the frame with as many sea stacks as possible while positioning the setting sun in one of the gaps. I loved the result, especially the golden hues and the almost ancient-looking coastline.
Take from me humility.

Despair is the absolute extreme of self-love. It is reached when a man deliberately turns his back on all help from anyone else in order to taste the rotten luxury of knowing himself to be lost. In every man there is hidden some root of despair because in every man there is pride that vegetates and springs weeds and rank flowers of self-pity as soon as our own resources fail us. But because our own resources inevitably fail us, we are all more or less subject to discouragement and to despair.
But a man who is truly humble cannot despair, because in the humble man there is no longer any such thing as self-pity. It is almost impossible to overestimate the value of true humility and its power in the spiritual life. For the beginning of humility is the beginning of blessedness and the consummation of humility is the perfection of all joy. Humility contains in itself the answer to all the great problems of the life of the soul. It is the only key to faith, with which the spiritual life begins: for faith and humility are inseparable. In perfect humility all selfishness disappears and your soul no longer lives for itself or in itself for God: and it is lost and submerged in Him and transformed into Him.
-Thomas Merton, New Seeds of Contemplation

There is so much in the universe that inspires, and for this image,
it started with a suit.
Thank you to my friend Takuya over at GABRIEL and his Vintage Suit! It’s incredibly well made and he made sure that it fits just right.
To complete the looks, I always like to add pieces by the talented Masa over at Deadwool. Here you can see his very snazzy Bowler Hat and Dandy Shoes, as well as the well worn Ulrich Boots on my teasing friend. And, no look is complete without a great haircut. I’m sporting Deadwool’s Undercut Hair and my teammate wears INK’s Shuto Hair.
I was also inspired to imagine the world all around by the following awesome creations:
Apple Fall’s Hardwick Manor, Bushmead Railing, Farrow Garden Wall, Sunbleached Setee, and Joanne Crystal Lamp!
8f8’s Primavera in Toscana Chandelier and Granny’s Winter Cottage Painting!
HAIKEI’s Baseball Equipment!
Remarkable Oblivion’s The Doll Maker Pram!

Little Branch’s Buck Thorn Trees and Wild Grass!
Thank you everyone out there for your continued support.
You all inspire me as well!
Big hugs to you!

Assisi, the city of a small Great Man who has changed the way of living passing from wealth to humility giving himself to the service of nature and the needy.
Saint Francis.
Dante has to become the thing he has seen in Beatrice, and has, for that moment, been in himself. The maxim: ‘This also is Thou, neither is this Thou’ applies here. Love is at the centre of the circle, and Dante has to get there; this is the significance of the romantic distances….
… It is by that recollection that the lover is helped towards becoming ‘a flame of charity’, ‘a vesture of humility’. He must, without a miracle, become the perfection he has seen.

In the image created by Nesterov, the beautiful face of the Virgin Mary is full of maternal happiness, kindness and humility.
“A mother giving birth to a baby to unheard of suffering, a mother whose heart is pierced by the sword of sadness and warmed by the bright joy of birth - she is full of Nesterov’s unearthly charm.... And the martyrs, giving their flesh to be torn to pieces, joyfully tasting the beauty of pain and torment, opening the arms of death in providence and eternal closeness to God, these are unforgettable images.” This is how Mstislav Vladimirovich Farmakovsky (1873 - 1946) - art critic, archaeologist, artist, doctor of historical sciences, professor.- speaks about this debut work of Nesterov, an icon painter.
The iconostasis of the chapel in the choir consists of a black marble base with golden veins, double columns of gray marble, connected by a Gordian knot, with white carved capitals. Above the columns are beautifully carved massive arches made of white marble with inlay in the form of a wide belt of reddish marble. Iconostasis the upper aisle, in contrast to the main iconostasis, has both northern and southern doors.
Thank you for your humility, creativity and above all: friendship. I needed to process the news; how is it someone so positive and open can suddenly no longer be around, without having ever even hinted to it being a possibility? you have always in some scope been involved in my many mad roleplays at Mischief Managed, whether it was as an unruly teenager, or as a fellow Vampire, you were present. One of our last conversations was of you wanting us to roleplay again. I wish we had. You are so missed.
