He said that everyone was into rough sex, that something must be wrong with me. He said that as his WIFE I was supposed to meet all his needs. He said that I should have sex with him every day if he wants it. He said that he was sorry that I cried. He said that next time, he would ask me first. He said a lot of things to justify his behavior.
Nothing can justify WIFE RAPE. Nothing.
Marital rape is the term used to describe nonconsensual sexual acts between a woman/man and her husband/wife, ex-husband/wife, or intimate long-term partner.
These sexual acts can include: intercourse, anal or oral sex, forced sexual behavior with other individuals, and other unwanted, painful, and humiliating sexual activities.
It is rape if one partner uses force, threats, or intimidation to get the other to submit to sexual acts.
There are three types of marital rape:
Battering Rape - This involves forced sex combined with battering, motivated primarily by anger toward the victim. The sexual abuse is either part of the entire physical abuse incident or is a result of the husband later asking his wife to prove she forgives him for the beating by having sex with him.
Force-Only Rape - The husband uses only as much force as necessary to coerce his wife into sexual activity. This type of sexual assault is primarily motivated by the need for power over the victim. In his mind, he is merely asserting his right to have sex with "his" wife on demand. This is the most common type of marital rape.
Obsessive Rape - The husband’s sexual interests run toward the strange and perverse, and he is willing (or even has a preference) to use force to carry these activities out. This is the least common, yet arguably the most physically damaging, type of marital rape.
Although battered women are more at risk for marital rape than their non-battered counterparts, some men will rape their wives and never beat them; others will beat them, but not rape them. These issues may be inter-linked or seemingly unrelated.

The Sacred Heart of Paris is on top of a hill in Montmartre, a trendy village-like part of the 18th district in the north of the city.
Which is also known as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris or the Sacre Coeur Basilica, as you prefer.
The architect Paul Abadie is the one who designed the Sacre-Coeur. The architectural style is romano-byzantine and was inspired by churches, like Saint Sofia in Constantinople and San Marco in Venice.
The French army was defeated by the Prussians army in 1870. Alexandre Legentil, a believer, wanted to relieve the French people from the pain and the humiliation it went through.
He wanted the French people to feel better and to rise again, giving them a new basilica. The purpose of the church was to protect the French, but also for them to be forgiven for all their sins since the French Revolution. Legentil managed to get a law from the National Assembly declaring that the construction of the Sacre-Coeur was of public interest.
While the basilicas that were built during that period were usually named after Marie, the mother of Jesus, the Sacre-Coeur was dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus Christ, the symbol of the divine love Jesus had for the humans and of the sacrification he made for their sins, as it says in the Bible.
This building is a symbol of Paris, beautiful but also a reminder that France’s freedom has a cost !

Here’s a pano I made 4 years ago but didn’t share as I posted other similar photos of the area at that time. This area is about 40min drive from me so I really should visit a little more often. I’ve also cycled through here and that too is an amazing experience.
Some info from the tourism site wildatlanticway.com A trip through the Doolough Valley is a special experience. Nestled between high mountains, there are two lakes along which the Wild Atlantic Way winds its way. The untouched nature creates a unique idyll.
At the northern end of the valley, right next to the road, there is a cross built in memory of the victims of the “Doolough Tragedy”. During the great famine in 1849 hundreds of needy inhabitants of Louisburgh (nearby town) set off on foot to Delphi Lodge to seek food from the authorities there. However, they were harshly rejected. On the way back to Louisburgh, many of them died of hunger and frost in the Doolough Valley.
A quote by Mahatma Gandhi is engraved in the cross: “It has always been a mystery to me how people can feel honored by the humiliation of their fellow human beings.
Say it…and risk the humiliation, scream it , or whisper , write it or paint it on my skin, just say it..all you’re afraid to speak, shaking voice and trembling hands, say it. Pull me close and find my eyes, and say it…All..

The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is the cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church, built in memory of the victory in the war of 1812.
The temple was founded in 1839 by the architect Konstantin Ton. The construction lasted 44 years. The church was consecrated in 1883. In 1931, during the struggle with the church and religion, the temple was blown up by the Soviet authorities. It was planned to build the Palace of Soviets in its place, but the war interrupted the construction, and the dug pit was used as an outdoor swimming pool "Moscow".
By the 850th anniversary of Moscow in 1997, the church was restored and today is the main cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church. Majestic, solemn, wonderful
The temple stands above the Moscow River,
Golden reflection in the morning
Dark waters disturbing the peace.
Wonderful temple! You are a holy creation
Masters and people of Russia.
Like Christ, he experienced humiliation
You cried out to God, "Save me!"
and your prayer voice was heard.
You're standing over the river again.
And about what? About the secret, probably
You are majestically and proudly silent.

"Violence is an action by which the person tries to establish a balance of power with another person. Violence does not give importance to the needs and emotions of the other. The person using violent behavior forces the other to act against their will without respecting who they are. Violence is not a characteristic of the individual, but rather a means used to achieve hidden goals or defend oneself by discarding on a fake victim, or by creating a culprit who does not exist.
Examples:
Criticize someone
Put people down
Accuse the other of everything
Trying to isolate people by spreading rumors
Insult people,
Punish and reject people for no reason
Manipulate people;
Manipulate emotions
Using own mistakes and lies when blaming others
Humiliate;
Intimidate;
Dealing with names;
Threaten
Yell at someone
Raise the tone ....."
At the first "red flag", no matter if it's come from close friends, friends, contacts, people you know well, people you don't know. Sometimes, the most quiet are the more "toxic".... So, take off your empathy, stop immediatly the trust and confident you place in some people. Don't spend 1 mn more. Tell in front of face the truth you have to tell and run.
Run...
And far,
And fast ♥

My love has come along
My dream's become a song
My days are bright and sunny
Funny why I'm so blue
The man is like a drug
Humiliating and I can't get enough
Love and all it's splendor
Has surrendered it's every blow
Bad is the blues that I know
If this is love
What was I thinking
If this is love
What the hell am I, am I gonna do
And that man has got me sinking
To the bottom of the blue
It's what I choose
Love is the baddest blues
The joy versus the pain
No my joy it ain't the same
So I'll put it plain and simple
Just like front page news
Love is the baddest blues
Love is the baddest blues
If this is love
What was I thinking
If this is love
What the hell am I, am I gonna do
And that man has got me sinking
To the bottom of the blue
Guess that I lose
Love is the baddest blues
Пионы — это розы без шипов:
Как ангелы красы — без пышных крыльев;
Peonies are roses without thorns:
Like angels of beauty — without magnificent wings;
Or confessions with looks, without words,
Like a fairy tale that once became a reality.
And, it seems, ordinary flowers…
From the arsenal of Mother Nature,
But how much magical beauty there is in them,
And in the trail of fragrance — wonderful notes!..
Immortal Messengers of Love,
Beyond Time and all kinds of canons…
Especially favorite flowers
Gorgeous, gorgeous peonies.....I love peonies. For the careless pomp, for the wasteful fragrance. And for the fact that, without humiliating themselves by slow withering, they die in one night, dropping all their almost living petals at once with a dull rustle.....Who are you? Reality or dream?
If I touch you with my hand, it's empty.
And next to it is a plucked peony -
the Crown of universal art.

Away ..
In the cold light of day.”

In a more serious note – I still have to look back to the recent happenings. And it was not so nice ones.
Basically, showed me how changing the head people – whole spirit of the event can change. So – the event (under different names) I blog for like almost 3 years – happen to be a downfall of my emotional life. Under the circumstances of not being able to blog – simple because there was nothing to blog since event was on break due to shift of head people – I got warned. I got humiliated how I don’t have active blog. I got notice, half-able to read since it was not on even basic english, saying how – I’m not good. I’m not wanted. I’m LAZY. No matter I almost always produce the same number of images and it was never a problem before. Not in those words but still… then done what I could, when event started – then got kicked. Without notice, goodbye or even a – explanation?
Why am I saying this?
Why?

Respect your bloggers.
Not because one blogger is telling you to do it, but because there is a million living people behind those avatars.
People who sometimes get bond with you, with your creations, with limited opportunity to wear/live/be whatever you imagine us to be.
Because some of us is not about NUMBERS. Some of us is not made to make a thousands of similar/same images just changing outfits…
Some of us strive to EXIST.
So let us do it.
Don’t judge us by requirements made to limit the blogger’s list and to produce senseless creations nobody will even take a look (and I am not trying to offend anyone, just to share something that is happening today).
Don’t made it impossible to love you.
Because, some of us – is simple here to stay. For long. As long as there is this virtual game. The world where we exist beyond borders.
Your creations will be promoted, you will make a money, world will kept spinning – but the bonds, the virtual ones is hard to make.
So if you ever do – don’t let it goes away.
Because – in some point of my life – acceptance and admiration is more important than anything, as I realized. The people, not matter and things.
Let us love you.

...they were talking about some cookie-cutter girl who looked like every other stupid girl in sl. Laughing at her, just standing there, not moving, like a brainless, boring statue. I don't pay a lot of attention to local when I'm shopping, but I saw it go by. I pretty much just cam around, get what I came for, and go.
Took a minute to realize we were the only ones there, and I was - to them - the brainless, boring, cookie-cutter statue. I scrolled back through local - none of it was any nicer.
I wish I could say I said something. Anything. I didn't. I got what I came for, and left.
I wish I could say I let it roll off my back. I didn't.
After a 13 hour day that was pretty much a nightmare from start to finish, walking into someone's public humiliation of me wasn't my favorite way to wrap up, but that's what I got. They don't know me, or what I dealt with, that I already felt like crap, and that I'm worried about how I'm going to deal with tomorrow. I was just some thing to laugh at.
I know it was just words. Everyone's got an opinion, and I ran into theirs. Hell, I've done my share of criticizing what I don't identify with in other people. I just don't do it in local. Sadly, I don't know if that makes me any better.
So, yeah. Just words. It's the disregard behind them that stings. I'm just as guilty.
Maybe today, let's just be kind to each other, k?
Isaiah 2:10-12
Go up into the rocky cliffs,
hide in the ground.
Get away from the dreadful judgment of the Lord,
from his royal splendor!
Proud men will be brought low,
arrogant men will be humiliated;
the Lord alone will be exalted
in that day.
Indeed, the Lord who commands armies
has planned a day of judgment,
for all the high and mighty,
for all who are proud – they will be humiliated.
So I had a situation recently where I felt singled out and was reprimanded in front of a group of people. I was breaking a rule I was never aware of and the person made me feel like a child with zero power, it was humiliating. It has been years since I have felt so powerless and small. I am still angry about the encounter but have just chalked it up to little man syndrome. It could have been handled with kindness and tact by someone without something to prove.

Well, the only person talking about love today is the preacher

This intruder having inadvertently been detained without benefit of due process, and having committed no overt acts for which he deserved incarceration, except perhaps for foraging and trespass, both misdemeanors, once he had posed for the requisite mug shots and submitted to the humiliation of a stern reprimand, he was summarily released on his own recognizance.

For all the violence against you,
for all the humiliations he has suffered,
for his body that you used,
for his intelligence that you have stepped on,
for the ignorance in which you left her,
for the freedom you denied her,
for the mouth that you have corked,
for the wings you cut them,
for all of this:
stand, gentlemen, in front of a woman.

My wish for all women.
Especially to all those who, in these days of serious emergency in Italy, are fighting on the front lines to save our lives.
By sacrificing themselves, their families and their affections.

per la libertà che le avete negato,

It was defended by a handful of Hungarian warriors from a huge Turkish army in 1552. Géza Gárdonyi pays homage to it in his novel Stars of Eger (Eclipse of the Crescent Moon).
.
The church of the bishopric of Eger founded by king St. Steven was built on the castle hill. It was rebuilt several times, first in Romanesque, later in Gothic style. The stone castle was built after the Mongolo-Tartarian invasion in the 13th c. and it was rebuilt many times until the 18th c.
Now it is home of István Dobó Castle Museum with several permanent exhibitions:
Gothic Bishop's Palace – the history of the castle of Eger;
Hall of the Heroes – exhibition in honour of the defenders of the castle in 1552.
Kazamaták (Underground corridors) – the undreground system of the castle, Romanesque and Gothic lapidarium
Ruin garden – renovated ruins of the Romanesque, Gothic and late-Gothic cathedral.
Picture gallery – works of 16th-19th c. painters.
Prison exhibition – tools of execution, torture, humiliation in past Hungary.

Thanks to the history of the castle and the exhibitions of the castle museum the castle is one of the most visited touristic sights in Hungary.

In your remembrance
Words fail to be anything but air…
As I stand at your grave
You are closer than ever
The warmth of your spirit encloses me
The sense of your glory
Your aura
Leaves me speechless
I embrace every moment
And remind myself
Of that night
When the light embraced you
And asked you to read
A new chapter began for mankind
Like the moon in the sky
You pushed the darkness aside
And guided mankind
To the footsteps of the messengers
The scent of their books
The sighs of their hearts
How can I forget
How you went through humiliation
Torture, hunger, and pain
How can I forget
How you held the hands of children
How you carried them on your back
We will love you
More than our wealth
More than our families
More than ourselves
Peace be upon you
You have truly been sent ..
A mercy to mankind
The cure of my pains
The light of my path
The moon of my sky

Famous Hats or infamous ones, I am happy I never experienced one of these, I survived class room humiliation though, this was found at a Pioneer Village.
A few days ago Mike Dunbar posted a photo with interesting comments about movies of World War II (see link below). It’s a subject that always makes me think of the 1942 movie “Mrs. Miniver”.
The film was intended to inspire audiences in North America as well as Britain during incredibly difficult years. Was it a form of propaganda? Probably. However, the story and production were so good that I was almost as emotional as if I’d actually been alive during those years.
What especially stood out to me was the stoicism of Mrs. Miniver. She held it together whether her husband was gone for days during the rescue at Dunkirk or bombs were dropping all around where she was sheltered with her family. Her ‘stiff upper lip’ was inspirational and particularly so to me since we’ve become a world given easily to flailing emotional reactions.
It just ain’t dignified...... and Mrs. Miniver was always friendly and warm but dignified.
When the movie came to an end, with tears in my eyes I said to Norm, “I really do want to be more like Mrs. Miniver. She was a true lady and her stoicism allowed others to see her as dependable.’ Having said that I went into the kitchen in order to start dinner and found a live sparrow flapping about through the open space and attempting to get out of the house by flying into one of the large windows.
So what did I do with my newly determined attitude of stoicism?
I started screaming and charging about like a half-witted twit.
Really. Could I humiliate myself more by telling you about that?
Anyway, Norm came in the room and calmly started opening windows and doors hoping the bird would simply fly out and find its way to freedom. Meanwhile, our very large Rottweiler was hiding and trembling in fear in the corner.
Once the bird finally found its way outdoors Norm turned to me with a sardonic expression and simply said, “What was that you were saying about being like Mrs. Miniver?”
My humiliation was, and is, complete.
Mike Dunbar's thread
Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble. Yehuda Berg

Humanity seems to be in a deadlock and has lost its way through hate. Sadly, we don't have leaders who are strong enough to negotiate and find solutions, and painfully, emotions seem to be taking over rather than rationality. We are stronger than this and must find our way back to reality.
There is no excuse not to have gun control. Violence only begets violence and it appears that the USA is out of control. No other country has as many deaths through violence as we do. We have to get back in control for the sake of our children and for our own sanity.

Merton said that we must not worry overmuch about making “progress in prayer”: “ ‘[H]ow to make progress’ is a good way to make people too aware of themselves. In the long run I think progress in prayer comes from the Cross and humiliation and whatever makes us really experience our total poverty and nothingness, and also gets our mind off ourselves.”23 That “life is either all spiritual or not spiritual at all”24 was one of Merton’s most fundamental ideas.

Too much self-centered attitude, you see, brings, you see, isolation. Result: loneliness, fear, anger. The extreme self-centered attitude is the source of suffering. Dalai Lama

Spring has returned and Cleo is back in the garden. She even stayed outside for quite a long time today and enjoyed it even more when the camera finally left her in peace.
You may have noticed the darker area under her mouth. I asked the vet about it last week and it turned out that this is feline acne. None of my cats has ever had that before. It doesn't seem to bother her but it's quite annoying and humiliating for a Royal Highness, demi goddess and famous photo model.
Yes, I do fall in love too easily, most of the time with a beautiful vista, which often causes me to suddenly slam on the the brakes and swerve my car erratically to the side of the road. If I'm lucky, I have my camera with me, and come away with the scenes to which I've borne witness. Otherwise, after the humiliation of bearing the brunt of shaken fists, angry profanities, and a few highway salutes, I settle into my love affair for the brief moment that it exists.
