I tend to smoke more cigars when I'm having trouble writing. Today I had three and the humidor is looking a little barren. Might be time to restock soon.

This is the front yard of a house in Scottsdale. The flowers bloom for only a few weeks. The whole yard was covered with them. Very pretty.
Processed in Lightroom only. Amazing results.

CABAIGUAN NO. 54 -- beautifully constructed, perfect burn, perfect draw, tons of smoke, spicy! but balanced, this is excellent, 90+ for sure, mild-medium -- milder from the Ecuadorian CT wrapper, even though it's really good, it's not my style and I probably wouldn't buy another. Great smoke if you are a spice girl (or guy).

SOBREMESA BRULEE BLUE 6.25X46 -- I wasn't thrilled with this considering how much I loved the non-blue brulee ... this was way too "medium" for me, and the 46 ring gauge is a disaster size, who can go back to smoking Churchills? I know Saka is an old man (so am I) and he loves the 6x48, but I sure don't and I am never going back there. Hard pass. Now I'm sort of dreading the Sin Compromiso which is also a 46... live and learn.

SIN COMPROMISO INTREPIDO 5.625X46 -- As I feared, this was too strong for me, but it was beautifully made: perfect burn, draw, good volume of smoke, but just too "medium" for me, maybe medium full ... I like milder cigars than this, but if you like stronger cigars, you should definitely try this. Can't imagine smoking a 52 ring gauge of this, way too powerful.

SOBREMESA BRULEE TORO 6X52 -- I'm afraid that this dried out a bit outside of the humidor, so it wasn't as sweet as I remember it, but it still burned and drew beautifully, lots of smoke, and the correct strength, about of mild-medium, and of course 6x52 is the right size for a cigar, the Goldilocks vitola ... but it's interesting that I was less blown away by this a second time around.

PLASENCIA ALMA FUERTE ROBUSTUS II -- This is so far above and beyond the cigars listed above, it isn't even funny. This is a world-class smoke, just outstanding in every way... perfect draw, burn, smoke volume, and flavor ... yes, it's "medium," but so smooth and balanced that's it's near perfect.
