A cigar collection, in my opinion, compares to that luxury car that you love and refer to as a “she”. You like to make sure “she” is clean and waxed and never left in the sun for too long. Cigars require a similar level of care. You need to maintain specific levels of temperature and humidity to preserve their taste and freshness. Otherwise, your beloved collection of Camacho cigars, AVO cigars and other favorites will dry out or become too moist, which are both bad for the cigar.

Taken in a "dark" bedroom, playing with my wireless remote, camera set to a manual shutter, and an external flash that I was hand-carrying when moving the scratching post around (hence the red & green trails). Probably about half a minute total exposure, with 3 firings of an SB-600 on 1/64 power. Plenty of time for a lot of light to leak through the "dark" curtains. Incidentally, the comforter on the bed is a dark blue, which isn't very obvious at all.
I'm pretty pleased with this first effort. In the future I'll probably actually use a tripod or something instead of putting the camera on my humidor...
