Memories. The stone snake head is from Mexico. The wooden cask at the back is an antique cigar humidor. The ceramic plate and owl are Wood and Sons - Yuan pattern. The trumpeting rabbit is of course one of the 'Alice in Wonderland' characters.

The cigar case at Friar Tuck in Peoria.
This time, I ran into an employee who knew what he was talking about, and I chose the Montecristo Chicago. It's a limited edition cigar, and Montecristo is making a special blend for different cities, like LA and Philly.
My first cigar shop was a place in Milwaukee called "Little Havana". Eric brought me there on my eighteenth birthday to buy a cigar, and smoke. I had never smoked anything at that time, so this was a new thing, but I was willing to give it a try. We walked in to a fairly well stocked shop, with a good sized humidor filled with a good selection of cigars, all of which were new to me. I can't remember what we picked, but I do remember liking the experience.
It wasn't long before Little Havana began to take a turn for the worse. The store no longer held a good stock of cigars. The clients began to leave, and so the quality of the products inside continued to fall. The old owners refused to change, and as a result, the store was no longer a place that Eric nor I would visit.
Earlier this year, it was bought by a new owner who really breathed new life into the ol' place. It became "The Havana Lounge". He put in a bar, a few tables, and the biggest TVs I've ever seen. He also gutted, and re-constructed the old humidor, and stocked it full of some really choice cigars. I was skeptical when my friend told me the ol' place really turned around, but I was very impressed.
