every day you, me & millions of people all around the world return home after finished our works...I just wonders sometimes... thinking about the feeling, specially in Dhaka.. after the office hour the roads become so crowded...buses are full ... every one in a same target.."we've to return Home"
Two young children explore the installation. I'm reminided of a line from one of the Lord of the Rings movie where an Ent comments about a family of mice that lived among its roots; "They tickled!"

Morton Arboretum
For my final image of 2023, I present perhaps my favorite of the year. It is the afternoon of New Year's Eve 2023 as I type this. This is the sculpture named "Hallow" and until it's removal in early March of this year, it was the largest of the eight sculptures spread around the Morton Arboretum grounds in Lisle, IL, by South African artist Daniel Popper. Popper's exhibition, "Human+Nature," ran for two years and was the latest in an ongoing series of two-year long exhibitions at the Arboretum. It was preceded by the world-renowned "Trolls" exhibition, and was followed by a rather lackluster and disappointing follow-up called "Of The Earth" in May 2023. While still impressive, "Of The Earth" lacks the heart that "Trolls" had, and the power that "Human+Nature" had.
"Love"
This image is being submitted as part of the #Flickr21 Photo Challenge, celebrating Flickr's 21st anniversary on February 10, 2025. The theme for the 19th day of the 21 day photo challenge is "Love." Daniel Popper's "Hallow" was my favorite all the sculptures at Morton Arboretum's "Human+Nature" exhibit, and this image was my favorite of all of them from the four trips I took to the Arboretum during the exhibit's run. To me, it is the ultimate expression of "opening your heart." However, at the time I took the photo, I did not even notice the tree right in the center of the chest. I only noticed that when I sat down to sort and edit the photos.
I like to interpret this as a particular "love of nature," hence the title. So it was certainly ironic then that the sign describing this sculpture had this following tagline:
"Trees and nature are the heart of
The Morton Arboretum's Mission,
work, and vision for the future."
La scorgevo celata - mentre attraversavo l’Autunno - tra piante ormai secche di Epilobio montano.
Perfettamente mimetizzata in quei colori con il suo Vello (già spesso) che la proteggerà dal Freddo Alpino.
Eravamo soli - completamente soli.
Ed è stato così per tutto il tempo che ci siamo dedicati!
Mi sentivo in perfetta Armonia tra uomo, Natura e Fauna.

Le Montagne vivono solo dell' amore dell' uomo.
Dove le abitazioni, poi gli Alberi, poi l erba sono esaurite, nasce il regno sterile, selvaggio, minerale.
Tuttavia, nella sua estrema povertà, nella sua nudità, dispensa una ricchezza che non ha prezzo: la felicità che si scopre negli occhi di chi la frequenta.

Dietro ogni scatto ci sono sempre fatiche e attese!

In Natura non esistono malintesi esistono solo in ciò che l'uomo chiama ragione!

Tbilisi - თბილისი - is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Mt'k'vari (Kura) River. Located strategically at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and lying along the historic Silk Road routes, Tbilisi has often been a point of contention between various rival powers and empires. The history of the city can be seen by its architecture, where the Haussmannized Rustaveli Avenue and downtown are blended with the narrower streets of the medieval Narikala district. The demographics of the city are diverse and historically it has been home to peoples from diverse cultures, religions and ethnicities. Despite being overwhelmingly Orthodox Christian, Tbilisi is one of the few places in the world (Sarajevo and Paramaribo being others) where a synagogue and a mosque are located next to each other, in the ancient Bath district several hundred metres from the Metekhi Church.
Metekhi (Metechi; Georgian: მეტეხი) is a historic neighborhood of Tbilisi, Georgia, located on the elevated cliff that overlooks the Mtkvari river. The Metekhi church is a cross-cupola church. While this style was the most common throughout the Middle Ages, the Metekhi church is somewhat anachronistic with its three projecting apses in the east facade and the four freestanding pillars supporting the cupola within. The church is made of brick and dressed stone. The restoration of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries mostly employed brick. The facade is for the most part smooth, with decorative elements concentrated around the windows of the eastern apses.
