I’ve been going through existing pictures, surfing the net for ideas and snapping pictures all week when I gave more thought to this one that I took to show my wife and kids that I was one of the first to work in the morning. After looking at the picture more closely, I found that it illustrates many lessons we learned in this week’s lectures. The biotic bushes protruding into the street contained by the abiotic cement curbs are similar to the abiotic glass bottle containing biotic wine in this week’s lecture. It is an example of humans who used tools to manipulate the world around them in order to create an aesthetically pleasing street for human use. The artificial placing of the bushes and curbs act as a natural “no parking” designated area.
The picture also contains several plants and trees that illustrate this week’s lesson of the characteristics of life using the mechanistic approach. The street also highlights the power Homo sapiens have to manipulate the biotic and abiotic world around them through the use of tools. Although this is a beautiful tree lined street, it is as unnatural as nature comes since it is humans who created this street. When left untouched in nature, palm trees usually grow curved because their seeds fall from a tree in different positions, thus giving palm trees their unique and signature curves as sometimes seen on vacation at a tropical beach. All these trees are pointing straight up, planted perfectly upright when the street was created. The street is filled with examples of the power we have to improve, change and destroy the world and the responsibility we must accept with this power.
You may have guessed also by the palm trees in the picture that the street must be located in a tropical climate, if you guessed that this is a street located in Boca Raton, FL…you’re right!

• Make a working model of the lungs to understand:
→Role of diaphragm in the process of respiration.
→In and out movement of air due to pressure difference created by the diaphragm.
→What happens if only one lung is working, if trachea is blocked, if diaphragm is rigid.
My injustice is Human Trafficking. I'm going to create a barcode with type to put on my model to elicit the idea that people in this circumstance are not looked at as humans, but property instead. Hopefully I can accurately create an atmosphere with type that brings forth a feeling of being alone. Let me know what you guys think :)
the cutest ever!! He was all snarly and roar-y, then saw Nicki and just fell over.
what I learned... cats (tigers, jaguars, lions, gahans)... can either purr or roar... not both.
did you know that?

I walked by and thought "Wow, that sure looks like..." But then... I thought "No way." I was only 99.6% sure. And so I snapped a few pics but didn't check twitter until after. It was him!!! If I'd known for 100% sure, I'd have said something surely.
"HUMAN CLOTHING. Sometimes it can be necessary to 'pass' for human. Though sartorialy dubious, the 'T-Shirt' is by far the most effective way to achieve the human look, so we have created these relatively inoffensive designs for our clientele. We are reliably informed that 'It's all about the confidence'.
We are currently out of stock of giant sizes (XXXXXL through to XXXXXXXXXL), but if you require such, please leave your details at the country, and we will inform you once stock comes in."
