with over 650+ trains passing though Mannheim station each day, it's rarely quiet, at this stage in the evening with the commuters and most local trains gone, the station descends into periodic rounds of silence until the night sleepers and the numerous night freights roll through in the night.

He was leader of the Labour Party but died just one year before their victory in 1964 which saw Harold Wilson become Prime Minister. His body was actually cremated but his ashes were buried here in Hampstead.
Normally, I would prefer to take a portrait shot where the subject's eyes are open...but this works, I think?
A portrait of the legendary Hugh Masekela from South Africa, who I last saw perform at The Royal Albert Hall on Paul Simon's "Graceland" tour.
He was the first artist I photographed at this year's WOMAD Festival and he was quite superb...incredibly expressive. A joy to shoot. :-)

Shyly hiding under a canopy of it's own steam, J15 No 186, prepares to work a excursion to Wicklow on a gloomy April bank holiday Monday in 2013.
No 186 was built in 1879 to a design dating from 1870, lasting a amazing 85 years in regular service before being withdrawn in 1964 and preserved.

He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

Commander of Tacticians, Hugh Trenchard
Experience: 27 years of military planning, 12 years marine commander
Hugh trenchard was once Austzechian first, and most famous marine commander. He lead some of the most famous battles “The Steel front”, “The Bloody offensive”, “Ironclad war” just to name a few. After taking a round from an enemy walker, his command tank exploded almost completing destroying him. Medics rushed him into a robo-brain, and he is now the main Austzechian tactician.

My dear next door neighbour www.flickr.com/photos/jainbow/ kindly gave me this lovely sketch she'd done of Hugh Jackman. She knows he's a fave of mine. Saw him at the O2 in 2019, he was great and seems such a generally nice guy.
