An image of the Hubsan H502E that Kathy captured while it was in a low hover. The internal GPS really helps the quadcopter in "Altitude Hold" and in "Return To Home".
Somehow I'm going to get experienced enough to fly this thing in a smooth mannor. This clip was from my 4th time out to practice. There was a slight breeze that came and went making the effort of trying to go smooth a challenge.

I realised that I was having trouble controlling the Hubsan Quad because it's controls were reversed from every Playstation game I've ever played. While I can switch the sides, one joystick is sprung and the other isn't. So I'm resoldering.
Had the Hubsan H502E out for a spin. Working on keeping it steady for some picture taking.
The picture quality isn't the best but for 100's less it'll do.
The kid was gifted a mini stunt "drone." Coincidentally I got an Email linking to a $10 Hubsan X4. Highly entertaining. His stunts easier and mine flies better.
I painted the forward motor shields and area around the camera with bright orange nail polish. My hope is that I'll be better able to see what direction the quadcopter is facing.
One feature of my Hubsan H502E is a GPS receiver. The quads starting position is locked in once at least 6 satellites are aquired. The position is locked when motors are started. Anyway, pressing the Return To Home (RTH) button sends the quad back to where it started and it lands. Even though the landing isn't spot on, it's usually within 3-5 feet. Shown here is how it did on one occassion.
