高ドッキョウのブナ
Mountains of Shimizu is almost covered by coniferous trees,
but the beech forest spreads
along the ridge of Mt.Takadokkyo.
清水の山は針葉樹ばかりですが、
樽峠から高ドッキョウにかけての尾根に沿って、
ブナの林が広がっています。
登りは少々きついけど、気持ち良かったです。

I went to Lake Kawaguchi to see the autumn leaves.
I was surprised by the number of foreign tourists.
It ’s already fall.
少しでも、紅葉を見ようと河口湖に行ってきました。
外国人の観光客の多さにびっくりでした。

L'ORTAGGIO CHE FA PIANGERE
Ho fotografato questa cipolla, dimenticata in frigorifero ed ormai fiorita, perché mi ricorda da vicino la fiamma dei Carabinieri, simbolo che si trova sui berretti e cappelli dell'Arma.
La cipolla, intesa come alimento, è il bulbo commestibile prodotto dall'omonima pianta erbacea; fortemente aromatica, questa verdura è botanicamente imparentata con altri ortaggi-spezia dalle caratteristiche simili, come aglio, porro, scalogno ed erba cipollina.
La cipolla è estremamente diffusa, quasi in tutto il mondo, e se ne coltivano molteplici varietà; in Italia le più famose sono: Tropea (rossa), Cannara (rossa), Bassano (rossa), Dolce (bianca), Barletta (rossa) e Borretana (giallo dorata).

THE VEGETABLE THAT MAKES YOU CRY
I photographed this onion, forgotten in the refrigerator and now in flower, because it closely reminds me of the flame of the Carabinieri, a symbol found on the caps and hats of the Arma.
The onion, understood as food, is the edible bulb produced by the homonymous herbaceous plant; strongly aromatic, this vegetable is botanically related to other spice-vegetables with similar characteristics, such as garlic, leek, shallot and chives.
The onion is extremely widespread, almost all over the world, and many varieties are grown; in Italy the most famous are: Tropea (red), Cannara (red), Bassano (red), Dolce (white), Barletta (red) and Borretana (golden yellow).

During my recent wild camp in the far North West of Scotland I discovered this old rowing boat being put to use as a garden feature. It does work very well I think.
TRICESIMO. IL DUOMO
La Pieve, o Parrocchiale, costruita nel XVIII sec. e dedicata alla Madonna della Purificazione, sorge nel centro del paese, di fronte al municipio e alla piazza, e possiede, nel fianco sud, un’elegantissima porta rinascimentale (1505) degna di una grande cattedrale, opera di Bernardino da Bissone. All’interno ospita una pregevole pala, rappresentante la Purificazione, di Jacopo Palma il Giovane. Il portale di Bernardino da Bissone era sulla facciata della precedente chiesa gotica. Quando nel ‘700 fu edificata una chiesa più grande, il portale gotico apparve sproporzionato e fu spostato nel lato sud come porta laterale. Sopra il portale fu collocata la Madonna col bambino, considerata il suo capolavoro, accuratamente ricomposta dopo il crollo del campanile (a seguito del terremoto del 1976) che travolse la statua. Sono di Bernardino da Bissone pure le due statue collocate nelle nicchie dell’attuale facciata, che rappresentano l’Annunciazione.

THIRTEENTH. THE DOME
La Pieve, or Parish Church, built in the eighteenth century. and dedicated to the Madonna della Purificazione, it stands in the center of the town, opposite the town hall and the square, and has, on the south side, a very elegant Renaissance door (1505) worthy of a large cathedral, the work of Bernardino da Bissone. Inside it houses a valuable altarpiece, representing the Purification, by Jacopo Palma the Younger. Bernardino da Bissone's portal was on the facade of the previous Gothic church. When a larger church was built in the 1700s, the Gothic portal appeared disproportionate and was moved to the south side as a side door. Above the portal was placed the Madonna and child, considered her masterpiece, carefully reassembled after the collapse of the bell tower (following the 1976 earthquake) which swept away the statue. The two statues placed in the niches of the current facade, representing the Annunciation, are also by Bernardino da Bissone.

ANTHURIUM PALLIDO
L'Anthurium Bianco è una pianta sempreverde originaria delle zone Americane Subtropicali, appartenente alla famiglia delle Araceae.
L'Anthurium Bianco è sicuramente una pianta d'appartamento molto ricercata, grazie anche alle sue caratteristiche che la rendono facilmente coltivabile in ambiente domestico, dato che non necessita di grandi e particolari cure. Inoltre è molto richiesto per bouquet matrimoniali grazie alle infiorescenze di color bianco molto particolari ed ornamentali.

I barboncini nani e toy sono le varianti più piccole della razza barbone, una razza antica di origine francese, nota per la sua grande intelligenza, per il suo carattere vivace ma amorevole e docile verso il padrone, per la sua facilità di addestramento e per la notevole longevità. Il cane barboncino è una razza che ha davvero tantissime qualità e pochi difetti: quello di abbaiare molto - caratteristica che deriva dalla loro possessività verso la famiglia - e quello di essere piuttosto costosa al momento dell'acquisto dei cuccioli. IRIS JAPONICA.( GIAGGIOLO)
La pianta di Iris japonica è una perenne rustica originaria di Giappone e Cina, produce fiori di colore bianco-rosato con puntini porpora e linee centrali giallo-arancio. Questa specie rimane verde anche durante l’inverno e fiorisce in anticipo rispetto agli altri Iris. Coltivata per i suoi fiori vistosi e molto decorativi, è utilizzata nelle bordure miste o erbacee, nelle aiuole, nei giardini rocciosi e anche in vaso. Le piante erbacee perenni vivono tutto l’anno e sopportano le temperature più rigide, vanno a riposo vegetativo durante la stagione invernale e riprendono la fase di vegetazione all’aumentare delle temperature.

LA SERA HA L'ORO IN BOCCA
Questa è la via che percorro almeno due volte al giorno e che collega casa mia al centro città.
Qui ci sono negozi, bar e chiesa con un forte senso di appartenenza ma che, purtroppo, più il tempo scorre e più subiscono la crisi dello spopolamento. Sempre più locali chiudono e non vengono riaperti lasciando un forte senso di abbandono e di disagio sociale.
Qui la resilienza viene messa a dura prova....

This is the street that I take at least twice a day and which connects my house to the city center.

RICOSTRUIAMO IL NOSTRO FUTURO MATTONE DOPO MATTONE
Davvero le future generazioni dovranno pagare fino all'ultimo centesimo i grandi debiti pubblici che ogni paese sta accumulando per fare fronte alla pandemia? La risposta che viene data in tutti i talk-show è sempre la stessa, a dir poco scontata: purtroppo sì, toccherà ai nostri figli e nipoti fare questo enorme sacrificio, paragonabile per entità ai danni di una guerra persa.
Molte aziende hanno dovuto affrontare difficoltà durante la pandemia e moltissime hanno dovuto ridurre il personale.
La pandemia rappresenta una minaccia per la prossima generazione di lavoratori e costituisce una sfida per la funzione risorse umane. Se le aziende vogliono beneficiare dei vantaggi di un pool diversificato di giovani qualificati, devono contribuire a costruirlo e poi continuare a svilupparlo. In tal modo, il futuro dei giovani talenti sarà meglio preservato e più al sicuro.

ECCELLENZA ITALIANA NEL MONDO
La cipolla rossa di Tropea è il nome dato alla cipolla rossa (Allium cepa) coltivata tra Nicotera, in provincia di Vibo Valentia, e Campora San Giovanni, nel comune di Amantea, in provincia di Cosenza, e lungo la fascia tirrenica. Viene prevalentemente prodotta tra Briatico e Capo Vaticano.
È composta da varie tuniche concentriche carnose di colorito bianco e con involucro rosso; è coltivata in queste zone da oltre duemila anni, importata dai Fenici, e da oltre un secolo, ora abbinata al turismo, contribuisce allo sviluppo socio-economico della zona. La dolcezza dell'ortaggio pare dipenda dal microclima particolarmente stabile nel periodo invernale, senza sbalzi di temperatura per l'azione di mitezza esercitata dalla vicinanza del mare, e dai terreni freschi e limosi, che determinano le caratteristiche pregiate del prodotto.
La forma è rotonda od ovoidale.

ITALIAN EXCELLENCE IN THE WORLD
The red onion of Tropea is the name given to the red onion (Allium cepa) grown between Nicotera, in the province of Vibo Valentia, and Campora San Giovanni, in the municipality of Amantea, in the province of Cosenza, and along the Tyrrhenian belt. It is mainly produced between Briatico and Capo Vaticano.
It is made up of various fleshy concentric tunics of white color and with red wrapping; it has been cultivated in these areas for over two thousand years, imported by the Phoenicians, and for over a century, now combined with tourism, it has contributed to the socio-economic development of the area. The sweetness of the vegetable seems to depend on the particularly stable microclimate in winter, without sudden changes in temperature due to the mildness exerted by the proximity of the sea, and on the fresh and loamy soils, which determine the valuable characteristics of the product.
The shape is round or ovoid.
