When I went to the Downtown Aquarium, Houston, TX I've seen this view, and thought, it looked interesting...Of course, never leaving house, without my camera, I took tons of photos again...lol Doesn't it look like the buildings are leaning toward the middle?? Could it be the form of the carousel top, that gives this effect???

Thank you all for stopping by, and your kind comments.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Center: Bank of America. Its red Napoleon granite came from Sweden.

It contains a building within a building. Because the telegraph cables of Houston’s Western Union headquarters couldn’t be relocated, the Bank of America Center had to be built around it. The building can still be seen, fully intact, inside the skyscraper’s lobby.

Wm. A. Smith Construction Co., Inc. Railroad Contractors sign. Established in 1924. I believe the old neon sign has been removed and the property sold. This outfit was a mover and shaker in the railroad industry in Houston and across Texas. They eventually expanded to other states. It was located in the industrial corridor along Clinton Drive near Buffalo Bayou, just west of the Houston Ship Channel.
