In December 2015, Ms. Langsdorf's computer science students ran two days of Hour of Code activities. Code.org established this activity to say that we can instill 21st century learning practices in our schools.
Students worked with their peers to complete a chunk of coding work. It was fun and challenging, and participants won a stress ball.
"Coding is the basis for great American companies like Google and Facebook," the Ambassador said. "Cambodians are very clever and creative, and this is an area of great opportunity for young people and this country."
The Ambassador was joined by students from IT Step Academy Cambodia and Technovation Cambodia.
The Hour of Code occurs during Computer Science Education Week, which is held from December 5-11.
