Computer Science Education week was December 9 - 15. The Chattanooga Public Library hosted a free Saturday workshop for Hamilton County middle-schoolers presented in partnership by the Public Education Foundation, Lamp Post Group, Engage 3D and STEM Innovation Hub. The Hour of Code initiative in Southeast Tennessee will demystify coding and get people of all ages coding through simple, easy-to-use tutorials.
Schools and community organizations throughout our region held their own Hour of Code events for teachers, students and even parents. Opening the door to computer science means opening the door to learning, creativity and future careers.
