A manic peak hour in Doha, cars dodging, people running, a silly Australian boy trying to take a photo for the AAW 'Embrace the Blur' Task:
"Show us something/anything with Blur for this week. Blurred subject, blurred background (maybe a pan shot) or both ;)
Motion blur specifically"
Luckily, I have my own washer and dryer... because I could be up 24 hours a day doing laundry we have so much.
A city skyline sunset shot from the sky park of Pinnacles @ Duxton. It is just so beautiful ^^

Stranger #1
I met this wonderful woman at the church down the street from my house. I was walking home from breakfast (at around 3pm) and she was walking towards the entrance of the yard. She had a walker and as I approached she asked if I could get the gate for her. Of course, I did and I went to get the door for her too, only to discover it was locked. This is not Anne's regular church, but she was in the neighbourhood and wanted to go to Confession while she was here. I asked to her have a seat in the shade while I checked the rest of the building to see if I could talk to someone. After a little runaround I found a gardener who only knew about 5:00 mass.
Anne was pretty sure she was just early for confession at 3:30, so we got to chatting while we waited.
Soon enough nearly an hour had passed and Anne had told me about her life as a traveler who loves B&Bs, her 5 children, her career as a writer and teacher and how she went back to school to get her degree in Antropology at age 60. She loves calendars, two of her grandchildren are being raised Muslim (which she's very happy about as she says their community is wonderful) and she's been living in B.C. for about 30 years.
She is now 78 years old and teaches creative writing at the community centre in my 'hood.
I have been thinking about joining the "100 Strangers" pool for a couple of weeks, but I'm still not convinced. After a couple of minutes with this lovely woman, I thought there couldn't be a better opportunity. I had my new camera on hand, I was having a great time with someone I met serendipitously and she's so beautiful. She was really gracious but a little shy when I asked if I could photograph her. She seemed like a natural though, I'm really happy with how these turned out.

I spent several happy hours at the Arundel Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust reserve today. At the end of the afternoon I was just about to leave when I came across these gorgeous little Mallard ducklings with their mother. Needless to say, I stayed a bit longer!
in this darkest hour in polish modern history we remember the fallen

Golden hour lighting in my college campus! Shot on phone! I still remember. I took some time from my schedule to go shoot beautiful locations inside my college and I was really amazed by the results!
