These calves, joined at the brisket, were delivered by Cesarean Section on April 23, 1963, but were unable to thrive at the F.O. Butler Ranch. Fall River Pioneer Museum in Hots Springs South Dakota. (I always doubt the truth about these kind of museum finds and attribute them to a taxidermist who had too much time on his hands)
Here's a photo of the hotsprings taken only two weeks earlier. The river is much lower and there is another pool lower down.
