Yes - it was very good! That is chili sauce on the hot dog...
Not the hot spicy kind of chili sauce .. it is mild. My stomach
does not react well to hot and spicy foods.
To mark National Hotdog Day, Cineworld is giving a free hotdog to all its Clubcard members. Sam, dressed up as a hotdog, is giving them out with a cheery smile 😀

This recipe was given to my father back in the late 50's/early 60's by a woman who worked in an all-night diner in a small town where my father would stop every night on his work route.
It's an excellent hot dog sauce. Here is a better translation of the recipe:
1 lb. raw hamburger in a sauce pan.
Add just enough water to cover the meat.
Heat until it comes to a boil and mash with an old fashioned potato masher and reduce to a simmer.
Add:1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of paprika
1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of chili
powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
salt to taste
Simmer 1/2 hr. to 3/4 hr.
The finer you mash it the better it turns out.
Note: You do not drain off any of the fat. The sauce may not taste all that spicey when it's done, but when topped on a hot dog in a steamed bun with a little mustard and finely chopped onion, the flavor really comes out.
I've tweaked this recipe over the years and usually add a little extra cumin powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, a pinch of oregeno, and some garlic powder or a crushed clove of fresh garlic.
To prepare the dogs, use a good quality hot dog, preferably beef. Put the dogs in a large pan with about a 1/2 inch of water. Put a collander on top of the pan, put the buns in the collander, and put a lid over the whole thing. As you boil the dogs the steam will come up through the collander and steam the buns and make them soft. You might want to get the dogs going good before adding the buns to the collander so the buns don't get soggy. If you don't have a suitable collander you can wrap the buns in wax paper and nuke them in the microwave for 15 seconds or so and then build your hot dog.
The woman who worked in the diner had an interesting hobby making things with chewing gum. See my photo of the Gum Bird Box.

It's those bikes without gears that drive me crazy. They're so sweet!
yesterday, the wife and i walked to the supermarket. the walk took 2.5 hours for a distance of around 13kms. normally that would still be an easy walk but the humidity and pollution made it so difficult. by the time we got to the supermarket i had this hotdog sandwich and several cups of ice cold coke. i can tell you it is great! hotdog sandwich with refillable soda cost USD2.00

I started painting the orange, blue, and yellow cubes in the Expedit about a month before I moved out. It was a huge pain-in-the-ass but thank goodness it came out looking pretty good.
The first weekend, I made toast in the hotdog machine. I was out of hotdogs.
