I have a reserve at the end of my street and in the mornings and evenings it is host to lots of my neighbours walking themselves and their dogs.
The trees are also host to new plants and new life as spring is well and truly underway.

Elmora School 12 hosted its annual Multicultural Show, ”One World, Many Stories” on Friday, June 5th. Parents and students in the audience danced and sang along with the performers on stage. Many standing ovations were given to the performers. Dances, poetry, and songs from all over the world were showcased. Teachers surprised the audience with a dance of many Medleys from all over the world.
The highlight of the show was the parade, where over 100 students walked into the Gym to the song “Coming to America.” Students and staff members walked in a line wearing native clothing from their country, waving the American Flag. It was an emotional and patriotic beginning. Students and parents were able to celebrate diversity, learn about other cultures, and pay tribute to this great country for educating so many children from all over the world!

Korthalsella complanata (Tieghem) Engler (type 1)
Hawaiian names: hulumoa, kaumahana
Family: Santalaceae - the sandalwood family
It seems likely that K. complanata includes a number of host specific races, since when K. complanata is heavily infesting one of its host species at a given location, other tree species that at times serve as hosts for K. complanata growing right next to the infested trees are often completely free of Korthalsella.

Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch., Commander, Installation Management Command, will host a flag uncasing ceremony for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Oct. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Joseph W. Westphal, Under Secretary of the United States Army, will be the guest speaker.
The ceremony represents the presence of the installation management community and the assumption of the command's authority in San Antonio. The installation management community includes the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Headquarters and two major subordinate commands: U.S. Army Environmental Command and the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command.
IMCOM temporarily occupies leased space in northeastern San Antonio until the new IMCOM Headquarters Building on Fort Sam Houston is completed in October 2011.
Uncasing the flag exemplifies how IMCOM, headquartered in "Military City USA," is transforming to make Army installations the Army's Home.
