The first and inaugural Ratoath Athletics Club 5KM road race was held in Ratoath, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 16th September 2012 at 11:00 at the Steeplechase Roundabout. The race was hosted by Ratoath Athletics club. The route of the race took the runners, walkers, and joggers around Ratoath Village. This race is a new entry on the Meath Road Race Calendar and the race provided a fitting end as the curtain begins to close on the road racing season in Co. Meath. As always, congratulations is due to the members of Ratoath AC who hosted and organised the event. Given the success of this inaugural event this race will form part of the Meath Road Race calendar into the future. While the race had a competitive front-end the race also ensured to welcome all Fit-4-life runners, joggers, and walkers.

All of the photographs here on this Flickr set have a visible watermark embedded in them. All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available, free, at no cost, at full resolution WITHOUT watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. El convento de San Marcos, actualmente parador-hostal de lujo, además de Iglesia consagrada y Museo de León, es una de las grandes joyas de la arquitectura de León y uno de los monumentos más importantes del Renacimiento español.
Los orígenes de este edificio se encuentran en el siglo XII, cuando en tiempos del rey Alfonso VII, la infanta Sancha de Castilla, realizó una donación destinada a la construcción de un modesto edificio a las afueras de la ciudad amurallada y a orillas del río Bernesga, en el cual pudieran “hospedarse los pobres de Cristo”. Convirtiéndose así en un templo-hospital para refugio de los peregrinos que realizan el Camino de Santiago.
En el siglo XVI, se derribó este edificio y se realizó una nueva obra, gracias a una donación de Fernando el Católico. Los arquitectos designados para esta obra fueron: Juan de Orozco (iglesia), Martín de Villarreal (Fachada) y Juan de Badajoz el Mozo (claustro y sacristía). La construcción abarcó un gran espacio temporal siendo finalizado en la siglo XVIII.
Como ya se ha dicho es uno de los monumentos más importantes del Renacimiento español, su fachada es una perla del plateresco, se empezó a construir hacia el año 1515. Es de un solo lienzo con muro de dos cuerpos, rematado en crestería calada y candeleros. En el zócalo se presenta medallones con personajes greco - latinos y de la Historia de España. En el sobre-zócalo se representan cabezas de ángeles.
La torre palaciega, data del 1711 al 1714, está decorada con cruz de Santiago y un León, presenta cuatro frisos con entablamento.
“Praise in the Park” was hosted by the Sagamihara Family Housing Area Gospel Chapel May 16 at Dewey Park. More than 60 local female freshmen and sophomore high school students recently spent a day at College of DuPage, interacting with positive female STEM role models and participating in hands-on STEM activities to encourage more women to pursue STEM as a field of study.
SAGE hosted our annual Fire Island Pines Celebration on June 4, 2022. We honored the LGBTQ+ community in the Pines, and awarded Guy Smith and Robert Montenegro the Innovator Award, Gary Clinton the Doris Taussig Award Community Service Award, and Doug Harris the Engagement Award.
The South Carolina National Guard hosts representatives from the Colombian army, air force, and navy during a visit through the State Partnership Program, Aug. 12-15, 2019. This visit focused on learning about the South Carolina National Guard's air defense mission with the 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command in Anderson, South Carolina, as well as the 169th Fighter Wing out of McEntire Joint National Guard Base in Eastover, South Carolina. The State Partnership Program between the South Carolina National Guard and the Republic of Colombia began in 2012 and focuses on sharing ideas and practices between the partner nations.
