I have to wonder if this was the butterfly that Mohamid Ali was referring to when he said "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee"
These beauties really seem to float as they gather around their host plant.
Host plants in my yard: Passiflora Biflora and Corky Stem vine.

4th May 2015 - A team of Liverpool artists is decorating a host of giant ducks in public view at Mann Island.
The Liverpool Duck Trail, commissioned by AquaDucked, will be launched on LightNight.
It aims to showcase the vibrant creativity alive in Liverpool as well as to raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.

La Seyðisfjarðarkirkja, situata nella pittoresca città di Seyðisfjörður nell'East Fjords dell'Islanda, è una chiesa in legno classica con una facciata distintiva di colore blu chiaro. Costruita nel 1922, la chiesa è un punto di riferimento per i visitatori e offre viste panoramiche del fiordo e delle montagne circostanti. È anche un centro culturale, ospitando concerti e mostre d'arte.
The Seyðisfjarðarkirkja, located in the picturesque town of Seyðisfjörður in the East Fjords of Iceland, is a classic wooden church with a distinctive light blue facade. Built in 1922, the church is a landmark for visitors and offers panoramic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. It is also a cultural center, hosting concerts and art exhibitions.
Every year about this time, I watch the hosta plants emerge and I am captivated. Last year I was testing a lens and this is one of the shots captured.

Au XIIième siècle, une hostie miraculeuse était vénérée dans l'église. Dans la seconde moitié du XIIIième siècle, un cajarcois, Aymeric d'Hébrard de la famille de Saint-Sulpice, évêque de Coïmbre, fit restaurer entièrement l'église. Pendant les guerres de religion on s'acharna sur les édifices religieux et au cours des siècles l’église devait subir de nombreuses mutilations et transformations. Les derniers gros travaux sont datés d'entre 1875 (avec la création d’un chœur semi-circulaire, d’une sacristie, d’un portail monumental au sud et une ouverture des rues autour de l’édifice) et 1881 avec l'installation de l'orgue. C'est en 1928 qu'on vit l'aménagement de la chapelle dédiée à la bienheureuse Annette Pelras, cette cajarcoise née le 16 juin 1760 et montée sur l’échafaud à Paris le 17 juillet 1794 pour avoir, comme quinze de ses sœurs de congrégation, refusé de renier sa foi. Dès le parvis, on peut apercevoir une statue de Saint Roch invitant les pèlerins et cheminants sur le chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle à prendre un peu de repos sous ses voûtes.
L'édifice est référencé dans la base Mérimée et à l'Inventaire général Région Occitanie. Plusieurs objets (tableaux, croix procession, calice, ciboire, etc.) sont référencés dans la base Palissy
Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) on a Swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) plant. As was emphasized at a recent butterfly garden presentation you need both host plants and nectar plants to have the most successful butterfly friendly garden.
Manchester’s 2026 celebration for the Year of the Horse was a city-wide festival held primarily over the weekend of 14–15 February, ahead of the official Lunar New Year on Tuesday 17 February.
The Dragon Parade (Sunday 15 Feb) - The festival's centrepiece featured a 175ft traditional dragon. It departed from the junction of Oxford Street and George Street at 12:00pm, paraded through the city centre, and concluded in Chinatown with a final performance at approximately 1:45pm.
Lunar New Year Fair: A massive street market with over 130 stalls across Market Street, Exchange Square, and New Cathedral Street. It featured street food, independent crafts, and live entertainment like Cantonese opera and lion dances.
Chinatown Festival: The district was decorated with red lanterns and hosted a funfair, traditional lion dances, and a main stage for cultural performances.
Aberdeen is currently hosting SPECTRA, Scotland’s Festival of Light, and as we can't get to see it ourselves, I thought I'd make my own Light Show that can at least fill the computer monitor with some intense colour ☺️!!
