I am hoping lightning does strike twice, and I get another chance of captures like these this year. But this time with Meadow Pipits as the host bird.

Autumn in the park

Home for a few nights, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Dahlia El Paso on a spangled backdrop - lovely pink, lilac and yellow dahlia playing host to some wee critters....couldn't get a photograph without them, every time I returned, every shot :^)

In our garden.

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

A host of motorcycles, mostly Harley Davidsons gathered at the Brookdale Tavern Bloomfield NJ across the street from me on March 6th, 2021. Earlier in the day members of the Bloomfield NJ police department and many others from police departments as far as Massachusetts said final good-byes to retired Bloomfield 53 year old police officer Benedetto “Benny” Christiano, who lost his battle to COVID-19 on March 2, 2021. He retired in December 2020 and then was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Aberdeen is currently hosting SPECTRA, Scotland’s Festival of Light, and as we can't get to see it ourselves, I thought I'd make my own Light Show that can at least fill the computer monitor with some intense colour ☺️!!

Happy Sliders Sunday! 😊

These small wasps are ovipositing in its host, e.g. a caterpillar (this is a male, however, so no ovipositor). The wasp larvae develop inside the living (and still growing) caterpillar. Typically, in the last larva stadium, it hatches from the host and continues feeding from the outside...

They play an important role in the ecological balance.

Hosta are looking particularly good this year. I have to spray them with deterrent to keep the deer from eating them to the ground. Deer seem especially fond of certain ones. I don't know if it's the plant or the location. I've sprayed three times already.
